Import CSV members data + Password

Hi guys,

thank you for your plugin!

I ve to import lots of members from an old DB by csv or SQL files.

I ve downloaded the bulk import addon but can I import also passwords?

You can’t. Each system has its own encryption salt and/or algorithm. In “the old days,” before the Internet, it was real easy for a hacker to steal a password file from one system and decode the passwords on their own computer.

You can import the user entries but then you will need to tell the users to use the reset password functionality once to get in. Its a standard practice when you change system.
