Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › After Registration Page – Incorrect error stating email address already exists.
We have pointed our “After Registration Page (Optional)” to our own progress page (http://www.secretsofcontentmastery.com/progress/), though the site still remains on the same page, except with a bright red ERROR message stating:
“The email address you are using is already taken!
Please choose a different email address.”
This is not the case, these addresses have never been in our database.
We then receive confirmation emails at those addresses – as if there were no issues. Why is the plugin stating that these addresses already exist? How do we fix it?

Have you checked your WP Users menu? The email addresses might have been added as part of the User account.

Thank you Peter. We did some testing and it appears to be our theme, Thesis. This was a little perplexing as we have seen it used for member sites before, but we suspect it may have been an earlier version.

What version of the eMember are you using? I believe an update may help you in this case as our plugins should not have a problem with Thesis Themes. Many of our customers use all of our plugins with this theme. Are you using a skin with Thesis Themes?
