“Add new” membership level not working. Nothing happens when I click “Add new”. I only have 6 membership levels at the moment. I want to add more. Please resolve this asap.

December 14, 2012 at 10:47 pm #52417adminKeymasterDid you empty your browser cache and then went to the membership level menu and try adding a new one?
Check my reply to your other post here:

December 24, 2012 at 5:15 pm #52419liveachangeMemberI just purchased the eMember, and when I click add new membership level it goes through just fine, but when I click submit, nothing happens, i have the latest version since I just downloaded yesterday, cleared my browser cache, but I still cant add my first membership level. I clcik submit and page stays the same…the cancel button works but the submit button does not so I cant add any new membership levels or even use the software… Please help?
December 24, 2012 at 11:34 pm #52420adminKeymasterHi, The issue you are seeing could also come from a JavaScript conflict from another plugin or theme. Can you please do the following test and let me know what you find:

January 11, 2013 at 1:03 pm #52421LouisaMemberOk, I also waited a few hours and then it was resolved. weird!
January 14, 2013 at 9:22 am #52422doketherMemberI am also experiencing this issue: “add new” does nothing. I haven’t added any new plugins anytime recently, and was able to add other memberships over the month…
January 14, 2013 at 2:30 pm #52423andyWMemberI did a search on the forum for the exact same problem, could’nt find one so I made a new post, then looked at the latest posts, then there are three threads on the same subject – so sorry Admin, I did try the search.
Anyways, I have exactly the same problem, I narrowed it down to one js file. – (please note, it might be different for others)
The JS file in question is jquery.confirm-1.3js – and it shows this error – TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not an object (evaluating ‘events[type]’)
So, I edited the wp-Emember1.php file, in there it has two references to:
jquery.confirm-1.2.js
jquery.confirm-1.3.js
So, I changed the reference of jquery.confirm-1.3.js to jquery.confirm-1.2.js
And it worked again.
Like I asked in the thread I started, is there a way to sort this so I am not editing core files?
Cheers
Andy
January 15, 2013 at 1:17 am #52424adminKeymasterHi Andy, You shouldn’t need to make any modification to the core plugin. If you are using WP3.5, it should load the 1.3 version automatically (somehow the version checking must be failing on this site).
The 1.2 version of the library exists only for users using WP2.9 or less. We are actually going to only support WordPress 3.0 or more recent going forward. So I have just got rid of those versions all together. Please download a new copy of the plugin and you shouldn’t see this anymore:

Make sure to empty your browser cache after the update.
