It took so long to set up and configure, (even though what I’m doing seems so inherently simple) that if it is working, I am afraid to touch it again!
But thanks for your reply. BTW, the file is just over 4 megs, so it’s size isn’t too large in comparison.
I don’t currently have an S3 account and doing that would add another resource on top of the thirty or so I already use and pay for…
Appreciate the input.

I landed on using the default url conversion method and the download method 6 – open-1m-closed-nozip …. AND IT WORKED!!!
My file is now being delivered in tact and open-able!!! YAY
I would still like someone to respond to this though…. What could have made this change necessary? I have never had to make a change like this in the past???
Will my delivery system just stop working all of the sudden again?
Is it good that I leave the download method set at method 6?
I am just worried that this will all happen again, and I’m just about to launch my book… I don’t want that stuff to happen!

I just realized that I don’t even have to go through the payment process, since all of the entire process works… So, what I’ve been dong is just going to the Admin Functions and creating a link. The PDF is downloading the same way, it says that the file is damaged.
So I am attempting to go through all of the download methods located in Addon Settings > Download Manager and trying to see if any of them work.
I hope I find a combination that does work, otherwise, I’m at a complete loss!
