This is a great product and it works great for straight purchases.
Let me clarify what I’m trying to do and how I’ve setup my product.
I am running wordpress version 2.9.2 with WP eStore v2.9.3.
I want to bill the client an initial payment of 0.01 cents – trial payment
and then I want to bill them 0.01 cents per month for the remaining 2 months.
The total product price would be 0.03 cents.
Here’s how I set it up on the admin screen:
Product Name: XYZ Test Product
Product Price: 0.03
Under Subscription Recurring Payment:
Trial Billing Amount: 0.01
Trial Billing Period: 1 Month
Recurring Billing Amount: 0.01
Recurring Billing Cycle: 1 Month
Recurring Billing Count: 2 months
Paypal did take the payment out of my account as a customer, so if I were a customer
I would be wondering what was going on since I didn’t get a confirmation email.
In real life, here’s a scenario of what I’m trying to do. Let’s say my product is $100.00. I want to charge $60.00 up front, and then split the remaining $40.00 into
equal payments over then next 2 months.
Is this how I would set this up in the admin screen?
Product Name: XYZ Product
Product Price: 100.00
Under Subscription Recurring Payment:
Trial Billing Amount: 60.00
Trial Billing Period: 1 Month
Recurring Billing Amount: 40.00
Recurring Billing Cycle: 1 Month
Recurring Billing Count: 2 months
