the new site will be the same domain name. The existing site does use PayPal. The existing site does not use PayPal.
USCAMemberMy problem the same as these folks, but I know why! The problem is I can’t fix that yet, so I’m looking for a way around it. I have a paid membership that sends the user off to PayPal where they can pay. PayPal is then supposed to send back (via IPN) info that causes the WP system to send a registration email. Correct so far?
Here’s the problem: we are developing a new version of an existing site. The existing site is to remain live until we are ready with the new WP system. So, when I send the user off to PayPal, it has the same domain name as the existing site. I’m guessing that PayPal returns it’s ipn magic to the “real” domain instead of my developing site.
This means I can’t test a whole lot of things – like making sure the registration form that gets shown to my user is correct.
I thought that if I added a user and then sent a “complete registration” link that it would work, but I get the message that the link is invalid or already used. So I tried sending a registration completion link but get the same message. In both cases it is “Error! The unique registration code you used in the URL has already been used or it is invalid! “
Is there anyway of working around this problem so I can continue to develop and test all of my scenarios?
