We’re running php 5+ on 1&1 hosting. We test many plugins on this account and haven’t had any issues previously.

I am also having this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/5/d268540004/htdocs/testing/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/auth.php on line 156

Please advise, and is it possible to just post the solution here? Since there are multiple users with the same issue it might save you customer service time to just have a single solution everyone can point to.
