Got it working. Just re-installed it.
Thanks for your help.
sastoneMemberI just thought of one other thing I’ll try first. Will get back to you shortly if it doesn’t work.
sastoneMemberOkay. I’ve used the shortcode BUY NOW button and I did get the email after purchase.
Thanks a lot for your help
sastoneMemberOh right, okay. I see what you mean. I tested it out with your instructions and got the exact same behaviour that is shown in the video. Thanks.
I wanted to utilise the BUY NOW button as I’ll only be selling one item.
I’ve created a customised payment page via Paypal and have implemented it into my Buy Now code. When I click on the BUY NOW button on my order page, the payment process goes through successfully, but I don’t receive an email with the download link after the purchase.
Here’s the code:
[admin deleted custom code]
I’ve placed the order page as my notify_url page. Is this where the problem lies? Is this why I don’t receive an email after purchase?
I would like to use this code for my Buy Now button as it goes to my customised payment page. All I need to do now is figure out how to get an automated email to the customers after they purchase the product.
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks.
sastoneMemberThanks for responding so quickly.
1. I just want the Paypal Pro option.
2. Link for the product page is: http://www.talismanofel.com/shop/
3. I have setup the payment gateway bundle plugin’s paypal pro section using the documentation.
The only thing is I didn’t know what to put for the Form Processing Page URL.
sastoneMemberYay! Great. It worked. I used the absolute path and it worked perfectly. Thank you both so much for your help
sastoneMemberI’ve tried what you’ve said but I received the following error when I try the download link:
The file (on the server) containing your download couldn’t be opened.
Could you tell me where I’m going wrong?
The advice I received from someone was:
You can use a php script to server the file from a non web accessible folder. The php can read from a file/folder that can not be accessed from a standard web link.
This sounds like what I’m looking for. The only problem is that I don’t know how to do this.
sastoneMemberThe full path is something like /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/products/
sastoneMemberI’ve been informed my web host that the file sits in a directory and while it is web accessible is hidden so users cannot locate it.
I wanted to up the security on my files. I saw a post in this forum and wanted some more information.
Here’s what the post said:
Adding Extra Security Option 3 (Storing Files Outside the Web Accessible Directory)
You can also store the digital goods in a non web accessible directory of your server (outside the “public_html” directory) and use eStore to serve the files. This way no one can even try to fish for it since its not in a web accessible directory.
I don’t know how to do this. I would really appreciate it if you could break it down for me.
