Hi,
I have stopped receiving the admin notification emails.
The check box for “Send Notification to Admin” is still checked & enabled.
The last notification I got was 2 weeks ago but the most recent few members have not been notified to me. Have checked the error log and all looks fine in terms of registration and redirect process.
I am using WP eMembers – Members v8.7.5
Russell58MemberThanks,.. that’s a good suggestion for the time being for us to add a code amendment in the IPN not to send certain sales via the member.php route.
Great support,.. much appreciated!
Russell58MemberHi, I have an IPN script that is creating new members of everyone that buys anything via PayPal (yes this script needs replacing but for the time being there are reasons why we cant do that immediately).
In particular this was creating issues when PayPal sent us commissions for sales of another developer’s product… the developer was getting added as a member as we are using the WP-emember API (member.php) script.
I thought I could remedy this issue by adding the developer’s email to the blacklist but it did not. Then I tried to create a new member registration using the developer’s email and was prevented as you indicated in your post.
However,.. it appears that because I am using the option to “allow secondary membership” in the Settings panel that this overrides script generated new membership registrations.
Is that the case? I suppose it would be in which case I have 2 options;
1) don’t allow secondary registrations
2) remove the universal IPN from PayPal that sends all post sale data to member.php script!
Your confirmation would be appreciated.
Thanks.
May 15, 2013 at 4:34 am in reply to: Way to send each customer a unique encrypted download link after product update? #32018Russell58MemberHi all,
I downloaded the Addon plugin for Members Only Button and installed and activated it but I didn’t see any tab in the e-store settings panel for “Members Only Button” as appears in the screenshot from the Installation and usage PDF guide. Then I noticed that I had to download and install the Extra Shortcodes plugin which I did and now it works perfectly.
This adds a very handy and practical function for my site members now in that they can login directly to their level product page and download the file as may be required.
Great feature – Great plugin!
Russell58MemberJust saying thanks for this post.
I used the shortcode override to display a unique Add to Cart button instead of the default text from cart settings and it works beautifully!
[wp_eStore_buy_now_custom_button id=4 button=http://localbizvortex.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/buttonVadd.png]
Being shortcode, I did not need to install and run and PHP execute plugin (not keen on doing so due to php exploitation possibilities). Nice work,.. thanks again!
EDIT TO ABOVE: Just realized that in the current version of wp-store that I can nominate a custom cart image for each product which is even better because the shortcode method above works great for direct manual PayPal Buy Now buttons but the custom cart image per product option retains the cart process which is much better for my purposes as I’m using the Coupon option too. Love this plugin!
May 14, 2013 at 4:23 am in reply to: How To Specify An Individual IPN Forwarding Address For A Product #55585Russell58MemberHi,
thanks so much for the prompt response and explanation.
Yes that makes sense and as you say, my IPN script could be amended to correspond only to specific products. I may look into that but for the time being I simply use a separate script for each product and that way I can be absolutely sure that only relevant keys are sent with specific products.
In the absence of you amending the plugin to allow separate IPN overrides or additions per product or an “ignore IPN” option I may be interested in you creating a custom script. Do you have my email address or PM facility through which you could contact me about this?
