Thanks for helping me out. Both issued were solved. Could you let me know what you did so that I can fix this problem when I use it for future projects if I decide to use the theme again?

Can you also take a look at my add new user/registration error? I get an error when people register and when I add new members. The user still get submited and created but 2 array errors pop up.

I have tried remaking a new category and it does this too. Anytime a post or a category in which there is a post attached to it is protected. the content on my front page is also protected.

Instead i can enter content into the theme setting area to put content on the homepage. I could see the content before (when I was logged out)
**Edit: I figured out why it was doing this. I have a category/post that when I protect it the content on the front page get protected. I am assuming it may be because the content on the front page uses some form of the blog. Is there a way just protect this category without affect anything else?
