I am running a website using a template from mysitemyway.com. I was playing with the protection settings today and protecting a certain page. But now it seems that the content on the homepage is protected from vistors even when there is no protection shortcode there or global protection on that page. I am not sure what I did I have gone through all settings I changed and moved it back to default but nothing seems to work. Can anyone give me a hand?

February 8, 2013 at 9:20 pm #53727QuanMasterMemberThe Homepage content I use does not create a page. Instead i can enter content into the theme setting area to put content on the homepage. I could see the content before (when I was logged out)
**Edit: I figured out why it was doing this. I have a category/post that when I protect it the content on the front page get protected. I am assuming it may be because the content on the front page uses some form of the blog. Is there a way just protect this category without affect anything else?
February 9, 2013 at 10:40 pm #53728adminKeymasterMost content protection issues arise from not setting up or understanding eMember’s content protection mechanism. This post is a good read:
From your explanation it looks like your theme is putting this home page entry under a category that you are protecting. Either customize that entry and assign it to a different category or create a new category and place your protected content in that new category.
February 9, 2013 at 11:36 pm #53729QuanMasterMemberI don’t think that is the case. I have tried remaking a new category and it does this too. Anytime a post or a category in which there is a post attached to it is protected. the content on my front page is also protected.
February 9, 2013 at 11:50 pm #53730adminKeymasterI will need to take a look at the settings on your site. I sent you an email to get access.
February 10, 2013 at 12:01 am #53731QuanMasterMemberInformation sent.
Can you also take a look at my add new user/registration error? I get an error when people register and when I add new members. The user still get submited and created but 2 array errors pop up.
February 11, 2013 at 7:42 pm #53732QuanMasterMemberThanks for helping me out. Both issued were solved. Could you let me know what you did so that I can fix this problem when I use it for future projects if I decide to use the theme again?
