Thanks, this worked. (Actually, I have a CSS box that came with my WP theme, so I just put the code in there).
I also have an SSL security certificate from GoDaddy on the website, so all the URLs are begin with “https”. Could that be an issue as well? Thanks.
I’m having this same problem as well. I thought it was because there were spaces in my PDF file name, but after I closed those spaces (and now there’s no spaces at all), it still asks me for the login information once again.
Also, if several protected PDF links are sent out in an email, for example, I assume that once a person clicks on a link to go to the PDF, they will have to login, but once they’re logged in, they can click on other PDF links in that email and they would be taken to the PDF without having to log in again, is that correct?
I did what you said above to edit the “Please Login to view this content. Join today!” on a protected page, but now it says “Please Login to view this content. ( )” with the weird brackets at the end of it. Is there a way to take out the brackets ( )?
