Ok thank you!
PHomemakerMemberI am trying option #4 in an attempt to avoid the emails I get about people not receiving their download links via email.
Two things:
1. I have several free products for download, so I am wondering if I HAVE to set up a “Thank You” page for each product, or if there’s a way to dynamically change the Download button target based on which product squeeze form was used to get there.
2. I know this isn’t a plugin issue, but I’ll ask here in case you know. How do I make sure that the “Thank You” page doesn’t show up in search results? Simply specifying “no index” in wp isn’t working.
Thanks!

And yes, I was looking at the wrong log file. Here are the results from the appropriate ones.

Right now I just want allow users to download free products. I have read all the forum threads I can find, followed the steps, watched the videos, banged my head against the wall, etc.
I set up a product in the plugin following the instructions. I put the shortcode with the correct product id in the blog post. When someone goes to download the file, they get a message saying the email was sent but no email is ever sent/arrives. Their email address IS added to the autoresponder list I set up. Nothing shows up in the log file. I have gone through the 5-step thread on testing the log file issue a few times without any result. Verified that there is no permissions issue with the log file. I tested and confirmed that the IPN is sent successfully to the server using the steps suggested in another post here. Not sure what else I can try.
