Hiya, I was wondering if it is possible to display a grid view of selected categories?
Say for example the first 12 categories I’ve created are for one part of the store where a grid view is appropriate, but categories 13 through 24 are not suitable for a grid view layout, is it possible to display categories 1 through 12 using a list categories shortcode with Fancy3 display which I believe is a grid layout, and then on a completely separate page, present categories 13 through 24 using a list view layout instead?
I can only see how to display all categories with the current shortcodes, as opposed to choosing which categories appear in the display.
This could be particularly important if you want to show all categories beginning with A in a grid view on one page, and all categories beginning with B in a grid view on the next page.
You might then want to display all categories beginning with C on the third page in a list view.
I hope that makes sense?

mtsw69MemberHiya, that’s basically correct, although I’d like to be able to specify multiple membership levels in the same way I can with WP Emember:
[WP_eMember_Protected for=4-5-8]
protects content from anyone not in membership levels 4, 5 and 8. Something along those lines would be useful.
2 other important points:
1. This should work for any of the 4 available buttons, not just the Add to cart button.
2. Could you add the _no_price option or something like it, to the display as well please? That seems to only work with Fancy Display 1.
Please note that the following shortcodes are the ones I use most extensively on the site:
[wp_eStore_fancy_display id=1 type=4 style=2]
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=2 order=1 type=4]
Perhaps settings like these would work for everyone:
[wp_eStore_fancy_display id=1 type=4 style=2 price=0 restriction=3-4-5]
This displays product 1 with a download button and no price using Fancy display 2 and only allows members from levels 3, 4 and 5 to access the button.
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=2 order=1 type=3 restriction=6-7-8]
This displays all the products in category 1 with a subscription button and visible prices, but only members from levels 6, 7 and 8 can access the button. In this example, price is not present because Estore default is to display it so you’d only include the atribute if you wanted to set it to 0.
I hope all that makes sense?
Ivy did quote me a price for this already, but please can you confirm by Email?
Many thanks,
Matt
mtsw69MemberHi, I’m wanting to use audio player shortcodes in product descriptions, and I understand that using one of the fancy tags will allow nesting, but what if you’re using the Display all products in a given category shortcode? For example, I have a category called Horror, and within that I have 5 products which all have audio previews. I set up a page called Horror, and used the display all products tag on that page so when users click to it they see all the Horror products. Each product has a description which is where I want to use the shortcode, but when I try that, I just see the shortcode, not the audio player.
The option you mentioned in previous posts seems to require me to specify a particular product in the tag, rather than all products from a given category.
March 29, 2011 at 5:15 pm in reply to: HELP! Digital Downloads Getting Corrupt or Downloading Empty #28371mtsw69MemberHi, bit of an emergency here! My new Website had its first sale today, but the customer Emailed me almost immediately to inform me that the download link appeared to have expired! I thought this was very strange as I had set the download expiry at 168 hours (7 days). In fact I want no limit on downloads, but for now its set to 7 days.
Anyway, no problem I thought, I simply went to the Admin Functions screen and created a manual download link instead, pasted it in an Email to the customer and forgot about it.
Customer Emailed again to inform me that this time he was getting the following message:
Internet Explorer cannot download download.php from explaudio.com.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.
Help! What’s happening?
I have 3 digital variations, an MP3 file, a WMA file, and a WAV file. All of them were working 2 days ago when I did my final live testing as a test customer, and now they’re not working at all!
Please get back to me as soon as you can, the customer is waiting for his download and its very embarrasing to say the least!
