The nightly expiring didn’t work with my current version but after upgrading the plugin to 7.7.2 the nightly expiring worked, thanks.
lockandrolltennisMemberI set one member with start date 2011 and one month subscription to active, then tried to log in with that member and it did become expired and the member didn’t have access to protected content. I’ve set the account back to active and will check tomorrow to see if the nightly check is expiring accounts, but I suspect it won’t.
lockandrolltennisMember1. version 7.4.5
2. one time paypal payment button
3. Subscription duration 30 days
4. One member #33 Subscription Start Date 2012-01-29
Another member #39 Start Date 2012-01-31
Do members have to attempt to login to get expired? Or is there something running on eMember checking members daily/hourly.
February 8, 2012 at 4:17 am in reply to: How to serve cached pages only to those that have logged in through eMember #41628lockandrolltennisMemberYes, I can serve cached pages to logged in users if the pages have nothing member specific. I just don’t want them also served to non-members. Is there no hook or something into the order of serving pages?
December 14, 2011 at 5:45 am in reply to: eMember lockdown page javascript error and customizing #39517lockandrolltennisMemberAny word on how to change the background color of the login page? There shouldn’t be any problem with other plugins because the id of the login “exposeMask” is unique id.
I can actually get the whole background to turn black by editing the jquery.tools.min.js file but then can’t see the login box.
{maskId:”exposeMask”,loadSpeed:”slow”,closeSpeed:”fast”,closeOnClick:!0,closeOnEsc:!0,zIndex:9998,opacity:.8,startOpacity:0,background:#000000
nm this was probably a javascript error.
December 12, 2011 at 7:59 am in reply to: eMember lockdown page javascript error and customizing #39515lockandrolltennisMemberI used the Password Reset Page option under Settings. It seems that this should automatically convert the login link to the entry here but doesn’t. I set the href property manually in eMember_lockdown_popup.php and this takes me to my password reset page. Good thing you guys just released that new feature that allows me to specify other pages that can be accessed from non-members when using site-wide lockdown.

December 10, 2011 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Allow access to Thank You page with site wide protecton #39399lockandrolltennisMemberThanks sounds great! I can think of another spot I would need this, the sales page ( where you tell potential customers about your site or product ).
December 10, 2011 at 11:34 pm in reply to: eMember lockdown page javascript error and customizing #39512lockandrolltennisMemberHow do I fix the javascript error? I put the css changes in the custom.css file of my theme.
December 10, 2011 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Remaining membership time after subscription cancellation #39442lockandrolltennisMemberWell which one do I used for a monthly subscription then? You told me and others to use no expiry for monthly payments. Maybe it is a paypal setting. When I created the button I chose “After how many cycles should billing stop?” 2 cycles. Should this be set to “Never”?
December 9, 2011 at 6:55 am in reply to: Allow access to Thank You page with site wide protecton #39397lockandrolltennisMemberBecause right after the person pays they don’t have access, they still need to complete registration from the link in the email. But they need to go somewhere after paying and be notified that they are to receive an email with registration info.
