We resolved it! Thanks for all your help. Turns out there was a typo in the IPN settings in paypal!
justinparksMemberquite a few! Is it not writing to the file? ( I followed all the instructions posted to see it “activate” the log file writing – permissions on ftp etc)
justinparksMember[http://www.coldtub.com/supplies/] – I can get you access ot the admin and whatever else you need as well if that helps.
justinparksMemberOk thats all configured – now Im really stumped! Its refusing to send the admin email but absolutely everything else works perfectly… suggestions?
justinparksMemberok, so I think I’m understanding the misunderstanding now.
We DO get the notification from paypal – but I have multiple sites and staff linked to that paypal account so I need to be able to identify the site that the order came from (the paypal notification of payment will not do that I think?) and that’s why I was aiming to see if the plugin itself generated a separate admin notification email, just like the email that the purchaser receives… doesn’t it do that? My understanding was it did!
justinparksMemberI arranged the first point and the IPN log has permission and produced these lines:
**SUCCESS :This debug line was generated because you entered the URL of the ipn handling script in the browser.
but still not further after following the second post – I did another test purchase and the IPN log file didnt change either and the email to the site admin simply didn’t arrive… help!
justinparksMember1. yes
