As found in your referenced post, the answer is to bundle MP3’s instead of zipping them. It should be said that it is common practice to zip mp3s for mixtapes and albums for digital distribution.
My solution if it helps anyone in the future: I am serving my MP3’s from my commercial host’s server using download method 6 in the plug-in add-on settings to avoid audible distortion. This apparently makes zip files corrupt, so I am serving my albums in zip files from my Amazon S3 storage using the integration. I am going to test bundling the MP3’s, but for now this is the functionality I wanted when I bought the plug-in.
wzp, thanks for your help if you find a better solution for me, please let me know.
Again, this plug-in is just incredible and is by far the best of its kind.
jeffpMemberOk wzp, I understand about S3. I have resolved it enough so that the mp3’s can be sold to my customers without audible distortion using download method 6. This download method does not work for zip files though correct?
How can I configure so I can sell both mp3s and zip files(full albums)?
jeffpMemberOk I’ve tried all different download methods as well as the s3 integration. The s3 integration produces clean normal sounding MP3’s but just redirects to the MP3 instead of automatically downloading. Can someone please assist? I’d really like to resolve this as soon as possible.
jeffpMemberI tried .zip files and they come up in osx as “decompression failed” I’m assuming this means that they are corrupt.
