Paypal has just replied that as of the beginning of August, they have issued a new legal agreements that for some countries imply that they do no longer allow guest payments.
My next question then, is if 2Checkout allows payment without creating an account? I tried asking on their site, but they said I had to create an account before I could ask any questions! And I don’t want an account, just yet…
I can’t use Authorize.net as I’m not US based.
September 12, 2012 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Paypal-payment page forcing you to create an account #48110IngvildMemberI have a similar problem – my clients are forced to create a Paypal-account (Norwegian site) if they don’t have one.
I have a Paypal business account. I have deleted all cookies in my browser. I have enabled Paypal Account Optional…
However, if I try changing the Paypal language and pretend to be e.g. Spanish, then suddenly I am allowed to pay as a guest (but that requires a Spanish credit card, so it won’t work for my customers).
I understand that this is a PayPal issue and have asked Paypal about this, but any idea would be appreciated.
Thank you!
IngvildMemberThis worked for me!
I’m happy to use the Media Uploader within the plugin. However, just to experiment, I tried the ftp alternative and transferred a similar file to the downloads folder manually. When hitting Update from the plugin menu, this file didn’t show up in the list. Just so you know.
Many thanks for your help!

I would like to be able to generate one-time only codes that can be printed in a book that will be published. Book buyers can enter a code to get discounted membership, and they can’t give the code to their friends, as it’s one time only.
IngvildMemberAs suggested, I tried to upload a file (32,5 kb), but I received the same error message.
I’ll not touch the php.ini file unless you ask me to.
Thanks.
