Hi Peter,
Finally got around the problem in FF and IE. This post helped a lot:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/payment-gateway-bundle-plugin
Apparently fancy redirection was breaking my flow in FF and IE (kept taking me to Paypal regular). After I disabled it, it started working like I expected.
May 29, 2012 at 4:37 pm in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45451exemedMemberNot to beat a dead horse, so thank you for your patience, but both of you are being redirected to this page:
http://alexandervideos.com/?page_id=1423
… after adding a product to the shopping cart, and logging in/registering?
I’ve changed the PHP code now to redirect to the page above instead of “PayPal”, but I just wanted to make sure you two saw the page above, and not something else.
May 29, 2012 at 12:03 am in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45449exemedMemberI’ve cleared all cache and cookies and I am still getting PayPal Standard when I use FireFox or Internet Explorer.
May 28, 2012 at 5:53 pm in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45448exemedMemberOkay, will clear cookies and retry.
May 28, 2012 at 2:40 am in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45446exemedMemberOkay, I’ve brought the shopping cart back to “stock” code. Still seems to have the same weird behavior though.
Actually, it seems to work in Chrome, but not in IE and FF for me. This could simply be a cookie issue though (for why it works in Chrome but not in the other BIG 2).
May 27, 2012 at 10:44 pm in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45444exemedMemberWow. I think I got it working. I had to set the settings to use “multiple gateways”, but only had Paypal Pro checked. This seems to have fixed it.
But I’ll uncheck “multiple gateways” so you can see what happens when it’s not checked.
May 27, 2012 at 10:34 pm in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45443exemedMemberSo I did #1, and #2, and it’s still going to PayPal normal.
Try this link and try to purchase the video (add to cart):
May 25, 2012 at 2:00 am in reply to: eStore – Payment Gateway always defaulting to Paypal Regular #45441exemedMemberWell I disabled Standard Paypal and every other payment method except PayPal Pro, so the drop down menu disappeared.
Only thing is it still defaulted to Pay Pal Standard. Is this something I have to change in PHP source code rather than settings?
I basically want PayPal Pro as default.
May 9, 2012 at 6:29 pm in reply to: eStore – Use stored address from eMember to auto-seed PayPal Pro checkout #44786exemedMembernvm, solved it.
I enabled other payment options, then disabled them, then magically PayPal Pro began to work again.
It’s still not auto-seeding the address information from eMember though. I’m guessing I need an updated Paypal Bundle Add-on build. I’m unable to get an updated build using the update system for some reason (only sends me links for eStore/eMember).
May 9, 2012 at 5:58 pm in reply to: eStore – Use stored address from eMember to auto-seed PayPal Pro checkout #44785exemedMemberI did the update, but I only got links for eStore and eMember, but no update link for the Paypal Pro add-on.
In fact, it seems like the PayPal Pro add-on is now broken on our server after I reinstalled the newest eStore/eMember builds, it simply takes me to “regular paypal” instead of PayPal Pro. I got the updates from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/automatic-update-request
A bit frustrated at the moment, because I’m not sure what I did wrong.
May 7, 2012 at 10:18 am in reply to: eStore – Use stored address from eMember to auto-seed PayPal Pro checkout #44783exemedMemberHow do I download a new build? Should have asked this initially I suppose.
May 6, 2012 at 6:19 am in reply to: eStore – Use stored address from eMember to auto-seed PayPal Pro checkout #44782exemedMemberAwesome! I didn’t expect such a quick response. Literally save me a few hours of digging through PHP code.
exemedMemberHi, I looked at the videos, but they talk mainly about spacing, colors, etc.
I’m looking to add additional functionality (such as a JavaScript back button). I don’t think this is something easily changed by modifying CSS files.
April 28, 2012 at 5:22 pm in reply to: eStore – Paypal Pro Add-on, allows checkout from inside the site? #44529exemedMemberWould it be fairly easy to auto-seed the shipping information from the existing eMember/eStore information already store in the database?
exemedMemberAh, found it. Thanks for the help.
