Thank you Amin for pointing out the code. That code is really what I need, but is it possible for that shortcode to have additional parameter to limit the number of latest items from that category to show?

I want to have that shortcode (PHP) to show in my homepage so that all items would not display….

I got this problem, too. My images are 600×600 squared and when they are re-sized for thumbnail (e.g. 150×150) in fancy display they are in poor display though look perfect in lightbox preview. I tried several times checking the Enable Smart Thumbnail option and uploading the images in the same server but the thumbnails still won’t show up so I get back to unchecking the Enable smart Thumbnail option instead.

Is there anything to correct this poor display of images? Or am I missing something?
