Thumbnails are not displaying properly in Fancy display

Two of my product images are not displaying properly using the fancy display. These two images are rectangular in shape compared to the other product images so I assume that’s the problem. However, when I resize them to the same width as all of the others they still do not display completely inside the thumbnail image box. Each side is being cut off.

In addition, when I resize them small enough to fit into the thumbnail box, they are very blurry.

Hi Carrie, Did you try the “Enable Smart Thumbnail Option”

If your product thumbnail images look a little bit squashed then check this option and see the magic happen. The thumbnail images must be stored on this server (not an external server) for this option to work.

Try this option with the original thumbnail and see if it looks better.

I tried Enable Smart Thumbnail Option and then no image would display… any suggestions?

Can you remind which file to go into to edit the preset Thumbnail image?

Is your thumbnails stored on the same domain as the plugin? The smart thumbnail script can’t process the image if it’s on an external site.

yes…. All images are stored in just the images folder right on the server, that’s why it’s so strange…

I got this problem, too. My images are 600×600 squared and when they are re-sized for thumbnail (e.g. 150×150) in fancy display they are in poor display though look perfect in lightbox preview. I tried several times checking the Enable Smart Thumbnail option and uploading the images in the same server but the thumbnails still won’t show up so I get back to unchecking the Enable smart Thumbnail option instead.

Is there anything to correct this poor display of images? Or am I missing something?

Please post a link to your products page. Are the images hosted on your server? Just note that when you try to fit a 600×600 image in a 125×125 image block it will have to resize it and it will never look exactly the same.

images in the gallary are not displaying. All I get is a box with the image name.
