Hi there, we originally did watch everything and the site was set up and working for the last 3 years. Its just recently its stopped working and I didn’t want to have to spend hours trying to understand it all again.
November 1, 2016 at 9:23 am in reply to: Registration issues – user not being re-directed to registration form #74492dangermooseSpectatorHi there,
I recreated the registration page but think it might be a different issue. As we have to disable ‘Free Membership’ (we don’t have a free option) all I get when I view the registration page is the following:
…………
Free membership is disabled on this site!
Please visit the Payment Page to pay for a membership.Click Here
………….
So I can’t remember how its supposed to work, obviously a user needs to pay for the membership first, via PayPal (this part works ok) but not sure how, if we can’t get them to the register page how they can fill out their details.
Sorry, again I’m sure its me missing something obvious!
Very grateful for you help, as always your support is top notch.

July 17, 2012 at 2:56 pm in reply to: I don't want visitors to sign up (Customize the default login and join message) #34337dangermooseSpectatorHi there, I need to do exactly the same thing (just to replace the default text with my own) but it looks as though the wp_eMember1.php file has changed as I can’t find that function. I’d be most grateful if you could point me in the right direction!
Thanks.
dangermooseSpectatorI think you are spot on Admin, our tech guy had to alter some Database tables to get the member ID’s to be sent to the registration page correctly. Previously, when a purchase was made, the unique url didn’t contain any member ID so would direct the user to an incorrect page. To be honest I’m not sure exactly what he did but it seems to work now. I’ll try to get some more detail and report back. Thanks!
dangermooseSpectatorI’ve checked the log file from eStore and it looks like everything was successful.
I don’t think the below will tell you much but it appears there is something else at play, maybe server settings or something.
On thing however – I grabbed the registration URL from the subscription log and tried it in a browser. It took me to the ‘join-us’ page which just says Free membership is disabled on this site (which it is) & please visit the payment page. I also noticed there are no members added to the eMember list from the tests I have done. I will check on permissions, maybe the DB cannot be written to or something. I’ll report back just in case this helps anyone else.

May 24, 2012 at 7:22 am in reply to: e-Store – not registering new customer or sending download emails #44061dangermooseSpectatorMany thanks admin & sixtyorb,
I’m waiting for my client to report back from her testing but all recent tests I have done were ok. I stripped out some text from the ‘buyer email’ and the emails are coming through ok now – not sure this was the fix as I’ve been tinkering with it for a couple of days now and its sometimes hard to know what it was that worked!
May 21, 2012 at 8:23 am in reply to: e-Store – not registering new customer or sending download emails #44058dangermooseSpectatorHi there, sorry to jump on your thread sixtyorb.
I just wanted to mention I have a very similar problem. Some emails go through fine and some never get there although all customers so far (I’m still testing the site so not live customers) are added to the customers list in the admin.
I’ll get a ‘SUCCESS:Product Email successfully sent to joeschmo@email.com’ but the email never arrives. I do receive the ‘Seller’ notification email. It seems hit and miss, sometimes using a yahoo account it will work, sometimes not. Our site is due to go live soon and my client is getting anxious.
Did you have any luck with your problem?
dangermooseSpectatorOh, didn’t think this would work but it seems to – so far!
<?php echo eStore_show_product_details($values[0],"price"); ?>
dangermooseSpectatorI know I can use the following line to display price for a specific product.
<?php echo eStore_show_product_details(1,"price"); ?>
Is there an easy method of making this more dynamic so it will display the price for whatever product ID is currently being displayed?
So something like this?
<?php echo eStore_show_product_details('get_product_ID',"price"); ?>
dangermooseSpectatorGreat thanks, the plugin is being updated so often its hard to keep up! Thanks!
dangermooseSpectatorThis looks great and just what I need. Weirdly, however when I place the shortcode in the editor (both html & visual) it just displays the shortcode in the page.
Sorry to hijack your thread justaguy!
dangermooseSpectatorSorted, it was because when I copied the database from the live site onto our development site, the ‘Download validation script’ was still looking for the script on the live site and not the dev site!
Many thanks for you help as per usual. Your product & support is second to none.
dangermooseSpectatorUpdate – I’ve tried creating a completely new product and adding the amazon url but still getting the same error. Baffling!
By the way, the link is the same for the products, ie: the same link works in one product, but not the other.
