Hi there, I’ve recently set up amazon S3. All the product links work ok apart from with one product.
The error I’m getting is:
“The product ID contained in the download link (see browser address bar) doesn’t seem to be in the wp_eStore database. You might have a download link for a product that is no longer stocked. If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.”
When setting up this product, I created a new product and imported the data from another product ID – could this cause an issue like this? All the settings are the same for each product but for some reason this one won’t download.
I wondered if you had come across this error before, I’ve searched the forum and haven’t been able to find it elsewhere. I’ve tried to generate the link in Admin functions but I get the same error.
Any guidance appreciated!
Update – I’ve tried creating a completely new product and adding the amazon url but still getting the same error. Baffling!
By the way, the link is the same for the products, ie: the same link works in one product, but not the other.
Hi,
First check this checklist:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/downloaded-file-size-is-0-zero-byte
Then do what this post says and share the “download_manager_debug.log” debug file’s content here:
Also, beware of trailing spaces, and other invisible characters; especially if you are fond of copy & paste operations.
Sorted, it was because when I copied the database from the live site onto our development site, the ‘Download validation script’ was still looking for the script on the live site and not the dev site!
Many thanks for you help as per usual. Your product & support is second to none.
