Closed.
I think Im good. Realised that when the order transferred to Paypal, the rate becomes 0.04 dollars, therefore I changed around.
May 13, 2012 at 5:59 pm in reply to: Possible to create a marketplace where Members upload and sell own products? #44470chiefoxMemberIm back here just to discuss this.
This would make this plugin so much better than it already is. I was speaking about this an year ago – all this plugin needs is a marketplace like face – you know so people dont have to create products and stuff and then reference them in posts.
The reason for investing time in writing this is all thats needed is that the product should be made by merely starting a “digital download post” which allows to upload a file and specify a price. ANd this plugin would possibly replace every other one- it would be AWESOME!

I would also like to mention that the one ENORMOUS company that is actually doing it – trying to atleast – is a swine that that would take hundreds of dollars for pathetic products that dont go anywhere – and charge you per update. The pay wall pooled up plugin people update knowing they have their life ahead of themselves to filch money from users that pay for each little upgrade. And it all goes nowhere – ALSO from down under. Thats when theyre not stealing code from Yoast SEO. Look up! Stay Away from them.
May 10, 2012 at 10:15 am in reply to: eMember+eStore: all of sudden my site wont log in/show content to members #44925chiefoxMemberAt first I couldnt remember anything had been changed. Then I recalled about 10 days back, WP had been upgraded across sites. For the past so many days the site wasnt working and we didnt really know because paid registrations kept happening.
Now, all it needed was a new build of the plugin – I updated and it appears to me at this time all is well =)so the newest WP version needs the newest version plugin methinks
Thanks Admin.
chiefoxMemberGrateful for your reply, Ivy, and Im going to be filling out the form for a new copy. Mine is atleast 1 year old.
Some important stuff though:
1. All other websites of mine that used the eStore plugin and were moved similarly, are NOT affected. The plugin is acting normal there – excepting at oxen mine.
I’m working with Hostgator support to resolve this at present.
Ive received this response from one of the admins working on it. Now I dont know if the new plugin copy will make everything good because I dont have it yet, but here’s what he asked me to ask:
============================================
“Looking through the debug logs for this plugin I am showing nothing but “success.” This indicates to me (as do the emails) that on the server-side all appears to be well, and, as the plugin developer stated, this issue is being caused by the server not returning an appropriate response.
When “PayPal sends the IPN” is this done over SSL? I assume that it should be so, but I am not showing an SSL cert for this domain. SSL is enabled, but it is a self-signed certificate, and will generate errors. This seems to be a likely cause for this issue. Had you previously purchased an SSL certificate for this domain? I tried to find one on ga******* but could not. If you have such a cert can you send it to me for installation?
Also, is it possible for you to double check something with this developer?
Is /wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/paypal.php the URL to which this will be posted? I assume so but it would be nice to make sure I’m looking in the right place.
o*******.com/statistics/logs/access_log:66.211.170.66 – – [13/Jul/2011:02:46:35 -0500] “POST /wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/paypal.php HTTP/1.0” 500 478 “-” “-“
Also, I am showing the following error in my logs:
[Wed Jul 13 02:46:38 2011] [error] [client 66.211.170.66] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘MCAPI’ not found in www**/v****/domainname.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_auto_responder_handler.php on line 48
Which is strange because I have verified that that class is correctly defined. However, looking at the script and line in question I am seeing an almost suspicious amount of comments, making me wonder if this was not an “after-market” modification.
function eStore_get_chimp_api_new()
{
//$api_key = get_option(‘eStore_chimp_api_key’);
//if(!empty($api_key))
//{
// $api = new MCAPI($api_key);
//}
//else
//{
$api = new MCAPI(get_option(‘eStore_chimp_user_name’), get_option(‘eStore_chimp_pass’));
//}
return $api;
}
Most likely we are dealing with some small difference between cPanel and Plesk configurations. However, for me to really get to the bottom of this I will need to personally be able to replicate this error. That means going to your site, purchasing a product, and then watching the logs for information. Only then will I be able to test hypotheses and verify the effectiveness of any solution. Can you please provide me with instructions to this end? ”
=================
I am not sure what are after market modifications. Off to filling form.
chiefoxMemberI just moved to VPS on Hostgator. Im on Plesk too – and my website is all of a sudden sending out like 40 notifications. Also other websites are not mailing notifications to me at all.
It appears the trouble could be with hosting and Plesk in particular… but how did this get resolved for you?
March 16, 2011 at 9:53 pm in reply to: Knowing the post ID or page ID from where a purchase was made? #27813chiefoxMemberJust finished mailing, FYI: our mails from support@oxen…com have landed in spam so i maybe there … thx
March 16, 2011 at 9:40 pm in reply to: Knowing the post ID or page ID from where a purchase was made? #27812chiefoxMemberThanks for the reply, Amin, sorry for the misunderstanding – I emailed you guys on the 11th, actually I emailed and then posted here … using the contact form. Maybe should have used the support email …
As long as I can find a post searching through the ID number in hand, I should be good …
Some of the URLs on my site are really long, something that is dangerous, for obvious reasons as you mentioned…
Gonna go write the mail now. Thanks!

March 10, 2011 at 10:18 pm in reply to: Knowing the post ID or page ID from where a purchase was made? #27809chiefoxMemberHello Amin/Ivy – I think that it is more justified now to maybe have the customisation, since the site has grown somewhat.
Maybe, instead of the postid, if the url itself could be traced, it would be a lot better, for me to just click and see what got sold!
I’m also going to email you, since you asked to contact.
Thanks
chiefoxMemberThanks again …
chiefoxMemberOn a sidenote – once the products are already uploaded (I uploaded a few hundred together) is there a way to like rewrite on them, like include the 1 this time and overwrite?
I need to correct several hundred -wondering if I could overwrite on the SAME IDs somehow – cant imagine going in to correct each one individually from the dashboard.
chiefoxMemberTHANKS A TON, amin!
chiefoxMemberBTW thought to mention that I was using the fourth variation control too – I think possible only via the excel file uploading.
chiefoxMemberIm going to work around it for now, thanks a lot for the help.
