Thanks – to get the debug log files to work in /wp-cart-for-digital-products/ I had to set the permissions manually to 777.
To get the log file working in /wp-affiliate-platform/ I had to create a blank wp_affiliate_debug.log file first, upload it and then set the permissions to 777.
Commission reversal works fine from PayPal – in Sales/Comm data, my mistake – because the sort order is showing the refund after the sale – it would make more sense to me if the refund was shown in date/time order so that the refund is at the top of the list.
The other issue is that WP eStore Order management is not showing the correct status – they all show as ‘complete’.
I want to be able to see the status of physical goods marked as ‘Pending’ when they are ordered, and ‘Refunded’ if a PayPal refund is issued.
I also would expect Affiliates to get an email sent automatically if a refund is made too.
Many thanks for a great set of plugins, and your wonderful support.
Chris
PS – If you want me to send the log files – please send me an email
cgparkhouseMemberOrder management automation – how to do refunds?
I’ve been using PayPal to do the refund. However there is no connection to WP eStore order management. So an order status show as ‘completed’ rather then ‘refunded’
Also I am using WP Affiliate and Affiliate Sales/Comm data also does not register refunds.
I have ‘Use Automatic Commission Reversal’ checked in the WP Affiliate Settings page.
Am I doing something wrong – what are your suggestions for doing refunds and having the system automatically show the correct status and reports?
cgparkhouseMemberOrder management for a physical (hard) product shows status of ‘completed’ as soon as order is placed.
I would expect the status to be set to ‘pending’ until the product has been physically shipped when the admin would then change the status to ‘completed’.
Am I doing something wrong – the product is not set up for digital delivery.
cgparkhouseMemberI’m using Version v5.1.9 of the WP Affiliate Platform plugin. paypal_mass_pay.txt did not get created automatically in the /wp-affiliate-platform/ directory. I had to create the blank file first and give it permission 777. Then that file got written to when I clicked on the ‘Create payment report file’ button. Then the following page at this url [http://better-life.me/wp-admin/admin.php?page=manage_payouts] displays:
WP Affiliate Platform – Manage Payouts
can’t open file
No link to the file shows.
I can download the file via ftp, but I want the finance guy to be able to use the WP Affiliate Program browser interface – because he is not very computer literate.
What is the name of the CSV file – maybe I need to create that manually too and give 777 permissions for the script to execute successfully?
PS Do you have plans to integrate with the PayPal mass pay API, to automate the process?
cgparkhouseMemberI followed the details above and created the paypal_mass_pay.txt file uploaded it to both directories suggested and changed the permissions to 777.
The paypal_mass_pay.txt file in /wp-affiliate-platform/ does get written to when I click the ‘Create payment Report File’ button, however I then get a ‘can’t open file’ message.
What I was expecting to happen was either:
1. The PayPal API instigated to do the Mass Pay automatically
2. Get a file to download, so that I could do a manual upload to PayPal
I would prefer option 1.
What is meant to happen when I get the ‘can’t open file’ message?
