Well, damn, that was it. index.php had a bit of malware code in it. Once I deleted that, the error went away.

Now I’ve got bigger problems, but they aren’t yours to deal with. Thank you so much for your prompt response!

Grrr and damn. One of our other sites was hacked with similar malware recently and we had gotten rid of it. But it must be making the rounds. I’ll try that and let you know!

Oh, by the way, this isn’t for the Circlet Press site (where I have the paid version of the plugin) but for a little site I run on my own: http://daron.ceciliatan.com so I have the Simple version of the plugin running there.

I am having a similar problem, and reverting to the Default theme did not make the error disappear. The error I get is:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /usr/local/www/wp/daron/index.php(1) : eval()’d code:37) in /usr/local/www/wp/daron/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart/wp_shopping_cart.php on line 23

I’m running WP 3.2.1 and updated to the latest version of the plugin, as well. (I tried adding the code suggested above to function.php in the theme files and broke the site, as well…)

    Any suggestions?

Ivy, just to let you know, we’ve done a rebuild of the site using MySQL 5.1 and we are testing it now. So far no errors and test purchases and downloads went through! Still working on getting email notifications to work, but I think that is a Word Press/SMTP issue and not the cart itself. Thanks for all your help!

Hm, I seem to be having the same problem? Except the machine I am running my WordPress server on is not a Windows box. I believe it’s Linux–or possibly FreeBSD? (I can find out.) I just purchased and activated the eStore plugin and got “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

The plugin *looks* like it did activate, but when I try to add a product, although it says it is added, nothing appears. Likewise for adding a category. Nothing happens.

I purchased the affiliate plugin also and haven’t tried to activate it yet.

    Can you help?
