Let me ask you this… I like your cart and I like my webhost. Strange thing is the widget works on some computers… mainly desktops for some reason. I read somewhere along the way that I can make the widget not show up at all if nothing is in the cart. So, if someone is using an iPad and the widget isn’t working, I think I can add whatever code I read that was and stop the widget from showing at all. But when the widget is working, it should show up. Can you please tell me what do I need to do to make that happen… i.e. only show widget if there are products in it? I’ll try anything at this point to prevent switching things up again.
Calleen WilderMemberAfter their extensive research, I guess the problem is that the cart relies on PHPSESSID cookie, which I am told is very finicky on their system. I’m assuming there’s no “work-around” for that cookie. If not, I either give up using the widget altogether or have to look at other carts. Do you have any other ideas?
Calleen WilderMemberI have contacted my provider and they have a strong caching system in place. They said they can try to exclude the cookie your software is using, as they can’t stop caching on nearly every page. So can you provide me the filename of the cookie your software uses?
Thanks
Calleen WilderMemberI did so check cookies on the Tablet, searching with Safari, cookies was not blocked. So far I have used Safari, Mozilla, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
Calleen WilderMemberSorry… I didn’t see your reply above. I used 2 separate windows computers… a desktop and a tablet. I could add the item to the cart, but when I left the page and went either to “View Your Cart” or any other page with the widget up in the sidebar they both showed the cart was empty.
Calleen WilderMemberI have more information… I checked with my webhost to check the php and this is what I found out… they said the path is on and working. However, this is the message I got on the save path “Unfortunately we do not allow the modification of the session directory in a php.ini file”….
So I asked if I could use your plug-in and they said if you use “session.save_path = /tmp” I can.
This is all above my head. Does this help you figure out my problem? Also, will it be possible to use your software?
