Yes, the other shortcode is supposedly compatible with the WordPress API. But that shortcode just creates a button with the a link – href=”” , and I can’t figure out anyway to call another shortcode through that method because the API won’t allow. I could set a graphic button, but that won’t help to call the shortcode. I have tried playing with the filtering, but that did not seem to change anything because the second shortocde appears at the same time as the button shortcode. Does this mean the button shortcode is not following the API?
I am wondering if the eMember shortcode could be used in some other way with say the wp_lightbox_ulitmate?

I am attempting to put a shortcode within a shortcode, but not sure how that would be implemented. I have tried this situation [button_link url=”/the/path/to/my/permalink” class=”popup” style=”impactBtn”] [WP eMember] [/button_link]. The problem is that this only displays the eMember form instead of the button. Is there a way to get this to be activated “onclick” of the button image? Ideally, I was hoping I could do this: [button_link url=”[WP eMember]” class=”popup” style=”impactBtn”]Sign In![/button_link], but WordPress does not support. Is there another way to implement the short code within?

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the nature of the protected downloads folder. We are only offering the audio files as streaming to members and not encouraging them to download the files. I was under the impression that the protected downloads folder would keep those files from non-members prying eyes. We know that anyone can retrieve the files in the browser cache if they are astute enough, but this was for the honest people anyway. Am I wrong? And the questions still remains why are the files not accessible when they are placed in the protected downloads folder?

We have Wp eStore, but have not implemented it yet. We are just using WP eMember for to limit access to the page that holds the audios. Anything else we might try?
October 14, 2012 at 2:51 am in reply to: eMember – zip file not showing in protected download file #49704BjeddMemberI have also a similar issue. I have .mp3 files that are too large, so I have uploaded them via ftp to the protected directory (mydomain.com/subdirectory/wp-content/uploads/emember/downloads). When I embed the .mp3 links in a post or page, I get an error, “page you are looking for can not be found“. If I place them anywhere else outside of the protected directory they can be found.
