Hi,
am am trying to do something similar. Basically have a product which is say $97,
i wish to have a coupon that would make the product free. ie 100% off or $0.00
Obviously Paypal then doesn’t play ball as it is a $0.00 transaction.
The reason i dont want to use the [wp_eStore_free_download:product_id:1:end] tag is that I wish to capture more details, and more importantly the content is wpMember protected. i.e. i want to create an wpmember account for the discounted user.
Is there a way I could work around this or do i have to set up a “free” memmbership in Wpmember to accomplish this and use the [wp_eMember_registration_form:end] codes?
cheers
Brendan
besttherapyMemberThanks, that does make sense. I will give it a go – although with a lot of posts / pages it could get messy to administer.

besttherapyMemberhmmmm, ok ignore my last message now it works… I added both API key and login details for mailchimp and now working for individual product… Before I was doing either / or .
besttherapyMemberIt works if I do the “global” list option. But not just for an individual product with the global option unchecked.
besttherapyMemberHi, am I not having much luck getting the mailchimp integration working.
A questions, is it the “mailchimp unique list id” I have to put in the autoresponder field on the product page or the “list name”
cheers
besttherapyMemberHi there,
I have been playing with this and it seems to be kind of workable in that I can write a SQL query to update the members membership level at a set date after joining.
One slight issue I have is being able to have “more” content on site revealed according to membership level. eg. level 1, 2, 3 A level 2 membership show 1 & 2, whilst a level 3 show 1,2 & 3 etc.
Would this be an easy modification? at the moment it appears that a level 3 can see level 3 marked content only and nothing else.
Cheers
besttherapyMemberfanstactic – thanks for this will give it a whirl!
besttherapyMemberHi, can you provide a list of conditions I can test for or a code snippet to demonstrate.
cheers
besttherapyMemberHi there,
I have the same issue if I go direct to a protected page. If I click the “login” link I get a 404 not found.
Hopefully the same fix will work for me??
cheers
besttherapyMemberI am not using aweber but a low cost script installed on own server. However it only looks at the email from address, not fields within email body. I’ve just had a look at mail chimp and think it is time to move to them!!
thanks
besttherapyMemberthanks for the quick reponse.
I am sure I can fuddle may way through some conditional statements. If you can show me what we can test for, ie member level and logged in or not that would be great.
thanks
besttherapyMemberHi there,
have just got emember up and running, i love the simplicity and ease of integration into wordpress.
a question: is it possible to selectively show menu items or widgets etc based on membership level?
I would like to have menu items (ie pages) be visible / non visible based on membership level and widgets visible / not visible – is this possible using the emember_protected shortcodes??
cheers
