Hi, on sending an autoresponder email for a particular product purchase is it possible to make the “from” email field the same as the customers email? so as well as including the email field in the body of the email set the originator as well?

The send email in the admin section does this, however the autoresponder appears to be using the “from” email setting in the store settings.

The issue I have is that the autoresponder I am using actually checks the “from” field of the email as opposed to looking for fields in the body of the message.

I suppose another way around this would be to have the functionality to do a “post” with customised fields.

    Many thanks

Are you talking about the AWeber integration? You shouldn’t have to do any special tweaking to get it going. This instructions should explain everything that is needed:

I am not using aweber but a low cost script installed on own server. However it only looks at the email from address, not fields within email body. I’ve just had a look at mail chimp and think it is time to move to them!!

    thanks

Ah I see… yes mailchimp is pretty good and it can be integrated with eStore too:

I’d like to use the MailChimp integration, but don’t see it in the Autoresponder Settings page. I’m running WP eStore version v2.7.8. Do I need to upgrade (if so how), or am I just missing something in the admin console?

    Thanks!

Hi, am I not having much luck getting the mailchimp integration working.

A questions, is it the “mailchimp unique list id” I have to put in the autoresponder field on the product page or the “list name”

    cheers

When you created the list in MailChimp you had to give it a name for that list. Use that name in the field called “MailChimp List Name”

It works if I do the “global” list option. But not just for an individual product with the global option unchecked.

When a customer checks out using paypal they see my email address. Is there a way to change my email with the website name?

If you upgrade your PayPal account to a business account then PayPal will allow you to show a business name instead of your email address.

The other option is to use a checkout page template. Look up how to use checkout page template in PayPal and you will be there.
