I updated to 7.8.1 and everything is now working.
I’m still puzzled about why this wasn’t the version for download when I bought eMember on Wednesday.
Thanks for your help,
AnnB

Ok, I updated, but I am still unclear on why I did not receive the most recent plugin version when I bought the Plugin on Wednesday.
The formatting is certainly an improvement.
But is there any way to customize it?
Thanks again,
AnnB
AnnBMemberSerious Question.
If I bought and installed eMember on WEdnesday, why do I have Version 7.7.* and NOT V 7.8.0.
Did it come out Thursday or Friday?
Thanks,
AnnB
March 24, 2012 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Adding custom html to the message displayed on protected content #33782AnnBMemberI just bought eMember this week.
I have version 7.7.8.
Are you saying there is something more recent than this that I need to install?
If I go to my General Settings I see this:
Turn Off Protected Message Formatting
By default eMember formats the protected messages to make it easily visible by placing it inside a warning box. Check this option if you do not want eMember to apply any formatting to messages (this will make eMember output the plain text only).
This box is NOT checked and yet my message is not in a warning box as you can see at [http://www.scottishterriernews.com/2012/03/the-weeks-dog-news-headlines-2.html]
Thanks
AnnBMemberThanks for your response.
The problem is that my categories have hundreds of posts and I’m looking to protect just 20-30 posts at any given point in time.
At this point, category protection seems like the nuclear option.
Also, how can I see a list in the admin/dashboard area of all my protected pages? I want to be able to see at a glance, which pages are protected?
AnnBMemberI’m not understanding why you don’t understand what the problem is.
My post above sates exactly what button I chose — in both the headline and the body text. Fancy Buy Now button.
I also give the link to my website where you can see clearly that there is no button, but rather a grey box.
What’s there not to understand?
I chose a button type, followed the instructions to insert it, and got a grey box. Therefore, I am asking for help troubleshooting what could be causing this.
Thx,
Ab
March 23, 2012 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Adding custom html to the message displayed on protected content #33780AnnBMemberHello,
I am in the process of customizing my protected content message (members only message).
By following the instructions here https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-to-customize-various-textmessages-displayed-by-the-plugin I’ve edited the language file so my site now shows the following message:
http://www.scottishterriernews.com/2012/03/the-weeks-dog-news-headlines-2.html
But I think new users will be lost and I need to make it more clear to them what’s going on. I’d like to add an H2 hedline and an image.
How exactly would I go about doing that?
I gather from researching these forums that I might have to change something related to get_login_link and then presumably I’ll have to tinker with the CSS.
Where can I find instructions/help?
Thanks,
AnnB

AnnBMemberThanks but I just bought emember so presumably I have the latest version.
On which page of the settings is this found? And is the exact phrase provided “Enable auto login after registration” still the same?
AnnBMemberHello,
Newbie here.
I went to WP eMembers – General Settings and I did not see anything that said “Enable Auto Login After Registration.”
Where exactly do I find this.
Thx,
AnnB
