Zoom function is not working in any photo details page

The zoom function has suddenly disappeared from all of my images. I have checked each gallery, and is is enabled for all, so I can’t figure out what has happened. Can someone help me get it back please?

I don’t seem to be having a problem. Please try to describe exactly how to replicate the problem, when visiting your site.

Hi wzp,

if I select any photo in any of my galleries, I don’t get the hover-over zoom feature.

For example, this image of a glass – I get all the photo details but without being able to magnify:

It’s the same for all images in all galleries

EDIT: To be sure it isn’t a browser issue, I have checked in both Safari and Firefox, and the problem persists in both.

Rixie, don’t you have some plugins conflict? Did you install any new plugins lately?

Ok this works now.

It appears that someone had selected the wrong page as the “Photo Details” page in the main settings.

Once I set this to the correct page the zoom works.

Thanks Peter, I would have been looking for the error for ever! Although, I’m not sure why it suddenly changed as, to my knowledge, I haven’t accessed or changed anything in the main settings for a while.

Anyway, as always, your assistance is very much appreciated

HI,

I just updated to the new version you sent me today to hep with permalinks on the new site i am building. Thank you but now the image zoom does not appear to be working now.

I do have the enable zoom checked.

I do have the wordpress-custom-css-plugin-6413 installed for the behind the image issue.

I did check to make sure the photos details page is correct in the setting (all the above i located in the forum)

It was working before i updated today and now poof nothing.

UPDATE:

Watermark is back for time being for anyone that has this issue. I was able to make it work by reinserting the images into the gallery.. Not sure why it worked but it did.

Still have issue with ZOOM NOT WORKING any longer (See below)

I uninstalled as re installed the plugin and found only one photo that would zoom, Additionally the watermark stops working on some of the images as well for instance the family album. All photos that were water marked no longer have the watermark on them. Not all mind you other galleries still have the watermark.

I tried updating the gallery and still all images do not have the watermark in the family album example. I am going to try and put the upload the photo again just to see if that does anything. But the zoom does not appear to working on most of the images in the site.

So no zoom at this juncture.

Ok i figured it out.

1- when i go to the page with the new perma link from the update today the zoom does not work but oddly when i click on the pagination link it goes to the photo and then there is a zoom. but in the browser the link is not the perma link (seo friendly) it is the gallery link the one with the id.

Example:

when i go to the gallery i get this link and zoom does NOT work

However when i click through the pics using the pagination, i get this link in address bar and zoom DOES work.

[http://photosofcalifornia.com/photo_details/?gallery_id=3&image_id=768]

So maybe a bug?

Lastly, i sent you an email regarding the space %20 it inserts in my seo friendly links, is there anyway to replace that with underscores so it does not add in the %20?

Will you be letting us know when this Zoom is fixed as it only works as far as i can tell as detailed above.

Ok, got it and i have to say this is ONE OF THE BEST plugin support i have encountered in a very long time. As a developer for hundreds of websites, this is only the second time i have had such a virtually painless time working with a plugin.

Your support has been flawless and timely. In fact i was shocked that you corrected the issue in less than 24 hours instead of weeks or never that other plugin developers provide.

I am so happy with the ease of this plugin, and any client that needs this functionality will get yours. Gee even my developers don’t work this fast.

For what it is worth I highly recommend this plugin and support personnel. It is obvious they are trying to provide the best product possible.

So what was the fix for the lack of zoom on Page Details images? I am still working locally developing a test website, and got a gallery made and it allows you to click on the thumbnails to go to the details page, but the zoom function does not magnify the image any larger than it already was. Since I am working locally, I don’t know how to share my page with you?
