wrong username/password even though they're correct

Hi

A clients membership site is having some issues with usernames and password. Members are logging in but it’s keep saying that the password and usernames are incorrect even though they logged in with the same details days previously.

I keep having to manually reset their passwords.

Please can you help me understand why this is happening. She has nearly 300 members and it can be quite tedious having to update people and obviously it reflects badly on the client also.

What happens when you try the login yourself to test?

Mine has always been ok which is weird. it’s other users and the plugin is up to date It’s always the first thing I look for when there’s an issue

We need some more specific information. Software is not “intermittent.” Since it works for you, there must be some set of circumstances involved…

• Is it every user, a percentage of users, or just some users in particular that are having this problem?
• If it’s not “every user,” then you need to narrow down the conditions under which this occurs. Are they actually typing in their credentials, copy/paste, auto-fill, or using “Remember Me” to log into the system?
• Is the problem with all membership levels, or just some/one in particular?
