MemberAfter having set up several galleries with no problems a few months ago, I now wanted to set up another one with new pictures. Only this time the watermarking doesn’t work anymore. It just stays on “Processing image 1 of 13” and doesn’t go on. The gallery page just remains empty: schumi.photography/index.php/shop-galleries/gallery26/
I have no memory errors, 77% of my server’s memory is free, and my server’s PHP memory_limit is at 256M. I have already re-installed the plugin, but to no avail. I have re-created the required pages, as well.
Fortunately, all the existing galleries still work, but I can’t add an photos to them, either…
I’ve found this forum post, but it didn’t help me: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/gallery-page-displays-blank-individual-gallery-gives-error-watermarking-fail

KeymasterHow large are the new images that you are using? Are these images the same format as the ones you used in a currently working gallery?

MemberThey’re the same type of images as the ones before, same camera, same export from lightroom, same general size… The watermarking starts, stays at the first image and after some time it says “Failed – check the server logs”. Except, there is nothing in the apache error log, nor in the syslog, and the file log.txt in the plugin directory is empty. However, in my media files the duplicates of the images have been created.
And if I add an image to an existing gallery, that gallery appears as an empty page as well, until I exclude the new image again…

KeymasterThe processing of new images seem to be failing. Has your server made updates to any PHP library on this server? Can you please ask this question to the hosting provider?

You need to check the php error_log (or equivalent). This will usually show logs related to such failures – the most common being “memory exhausted”.
