We purchased wp photo seller and installed it into Zerif Pro in the back end of our server and everything worked great. We migrated the site this week and lost all the internal links to gallery’s, price lists etc that were stored in wp photo seller and the plugin failed to work. We have since uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled a fresh version and to no avail.
The problem now is that the plugin is asking for basic settings to be saved, we do this and the plugin states it is saved but the data is not present and when you refresh or move on to another page all entered data is lost and the plugin asks for basic settings again.
If you enter all the data in the setting menu and save it all appears to have saved but again if you then move on to another page within WordPress all data is lost.
The plugin does not retain or save any data entered in to it
The plugin has its license key entered and registered
All the problems have come about since the migration.
Your help and assistance would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Jonathan
September 21, 2016 at 12:42 pm #74216PeterMemberHi,
Try looking at your server logs to see if they shed any light.
Did you migrate all of the photo seller DB tables too?
(all of the tables will have a “wps_” string just after the wp prefix and before the table name)
September 21, 2016 at 4:14 pm #74217JongrayMemberThank you for your response, I have forwared your comments on to my developer for him to action on. We do how ever believe that everything in that sense is in tact. You can view the string in the pages and upon fresh installation the correct pages are created by the plugin. The issues occur when you try to action the settings. Nothing is saved??
I have also tried to download a fresh version of the plugin from the host site we purchased from incase of corruption but the link has expired. Can you obtain a fresh download from anywhere?
Further comments on this issue would really help us out..
thanks in advance
Jonathan
September 22, 2016 at 2:40 am #74218PeterMemberI recommend starting from scratch.
– From the wordpress admin panel go to photo seller menu and delete any albums you may have created.
– Similarly, delete any galleries you may have created.
– from the wp plugins directory, deactivate and delete this plugin.
– Manually delete all of the photo seller tables from PHPMyAdmin
– go to the wp options table and look for the entry which has option_name equal to
“wpps_db_version”
Delete this entry.
– Grab a fresh version of the plugin and install and activate it.

See how you go with the above.
April 14, 2017 at 5:24 am #74219Mike AmbachMemberI am having precisely the same problem. I purchased and installed wp photo seller for use on a site I built on a temporary url, then when I enabled the intended url to make the site live, WP photo seller stopped saving any settings I make. Not all gallery templates link correctly (assume because there is no “Photo details” page automatically generated when I attempt to do so in the admin functions). The program won’t save or accept any modifications to settings (PayPal e-mail, for example), and the loupe no longer works.
I will follow the advice given to Jonathan, above, and see if this resolves the issue…
April 14, 2017 at 6:03 am #74220Mike AmbachMemberI have followed the steps indicated and re-installed a fresh version of the plugin. However, no change has occurred. The settings page will not retain any changes I make… so I cannot enable PayPal testing, register my Email, or any other function. The only step I missed was to manually delete all of the photo seller tables from PHPMyAdmin… because I’m not sure what I’m doing there, how to recognize those tables, etc. I’m not a developer. Will try again but in the meantime I would appreciate any help, thanks.
April 15, 2017 at 7:28 am #74221PeterMemberHi Mike,
It’s possible that there might be a conflict from another plugin or your theme.
The reason I say that is because most of the general settings for photo seller are saved using ajax.
If there is a javascript error on your system caused by another plugin or your theme, then this may prevent the photo seller from saving the settings.
Can you please try a quick test?
1) Deactivate all other plugins except photo seller and then try saving the settings.
Do they save successfully? If not proceed to 2)….
2) If above still yields the same results, then leave the plugins inactive from 1) and then revert your theme to a standard wordpress theme, eg, twentysixteen.
Then try saving the photo seller settings.
Let me know what you find.
April 15, 2017 at 11:46 pm #74222Mike AmbachMemberThank you for your response. I actually followed the steps above in this thread and requested a re-install link. When I re-installed I was able to adjust the fields. So good.
BUT… (stay with me here…)
When I re-installed in did not create new pages. So I used the admin panel to regenerate pages, but it does NOT create the “Photo Details” page with the short code. Instead, when I check under Settings, it defaults to the first page in my list of pages as the go-to place for Photo Details. It also did not automatically create an Album Home Page (instead using the same default page), but it did automatically create pages for: Store, _Cart, _Checkout, _IPN, _Receipt, _Thank You).
I can then create a gallery and it shows up as a sub-page to the automatically-created Photo Gallery page, but when I click on any of the images, it takes me to a page not found (defaults to my blog page for some reason).
So I manually created a Photo Details page and put in the code ([WPS_photo_details]). However, the gallery still does NOT link to it.
Then I re-checked the settings and made sure that Photo Details page directs to the manually created page (with the [WPS_photo_details]) code on it, made another gallery, and tried again… still “page not found” (prior to clicking, I noted that the url it was directing me to was the newly created page… followed by a / and the photo gallery #, a / and the photo info.
I’ve been through this loop several times. urg.
CONCERNING other plugins: I’m using about 10 others, and I suspect that one of them may be in conflict, b/c Photo Seller seemed to be working fine when I first installed it. I didn’t touch it for a while because I was building the site. But only now I’m seeing these problem(s).
Wait, there’s more…
The site has functionality issues having to do with the theme, which the theme developers are trouble-shooting now. So I’m not sure about de-activitating plugins, especially ones that are integral to the theme.
You see, I have a commitment to a photography client to get an on-line gallery to purchase digital downloads for an event in a couple weeks. This matters to me so much that I TOOK OUT A NEW DOMAIN for the sole purpose of setting up a bare bones site that can do this function. Of course, I couldn’t install the Photo Seller plugin into it because that plugin was licensed to this first domain…
…so I bought another. Yep, whole new domain, whole new Photo Seller purchase of $65, install licence, etc. The other site is called “fromthetreehousephotography.ca”. On a fresh WP site, I installed the new plugin… but it did NOT create ANY default pages on installation.
So I went through the admin functions and regenerated default pages. It did NOT create a Photo Details page. I went ahead and created a gallery, but I couldn’t view it: instead of thumbnail, I get ? icon. Note: the editing page shows me the thumbnail okay.
So I changed the theme to Twenty Fifteen and started at zero. Deleted ALL pages. Deactivated ALL other plugins. Deactivated, deleted, and re-installed Photo Seller. It did not automatically create pages on installation. So I went through the admin functions, re-generated default pages… and it made the following: “Photo Gallery, Store, _Cart, _Checkout,_IPN,_Receipt, _Thank You” (Note: it did not create a “Photo Details” page or an “Album Home Page”… is this normal?)
I then made a gallery (following precisely the steps on the video tutorial) and saved it. I can view it, but the thumbs now link to a “Photo Details-trashed” page.
Okay (he said with a sigh)… I recreate the Photo Details page, plug in the short code, and save/refresh everything…
… and I can view the gallery, but the link still doesn’t work (Page does not exist).
Again, this is on a Twenty Fifteen WP theme with NO OTHER PLUGIN functioning.
When this plugin was functioning, I thought it was great, but now I’ve sunk to license purchases into it and spent hours and hours troubleshooting this. I would very much like for this to be resolved. Thanks for making it to the end of this.
