I have set the IPN in paypal and followed some of the other topics here, but havnt found one that could help with my problem

I havnt linked the gallery in the menu yet, but it is active

November 2, 2015 at 2:51 am #71787PeterMemberHi,
1) Can you please enable debug for the photo seller – go to the Settings menu and then to the Testing and Debugging section. Select “yes” for Enable Logging.
2) Can you setup a dummy test gallery with a price of 0.01 so I can make a test purchase?

November 2, 2015 at 11:49 am #71790hygge2workMemberHi there,
I have the same problem as ‘Steiness’ above: The buyers is not receiving any mails from my site with download link after succesful paypal pay and neither is the sale logged.
My client has followed all the instructions I could find on this site that could possibly solve the problem:
– Log into your PayPal account
– Go to your profile
– Look for the “PayPal button language encoding” section under the My selling tools
– Make sure your website language is set to the correct language
– Click the more options button
– Make sure encoding is set to UTF-8.
– Then save settings
Can you check the following settings in your paypal account:
Log in to your paypal acct and go to “Website Payment Preferences”.
What are your settings set to for the following?
1) “Auto Return” (this should be enabled)
2) “Payment Data Transfer (should be on)”
But still the email with the link does not arrive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

I just performed a test purchase and everything worked fine. I successfully received the email.
I suspect that the UTF8 changes fixed your issue. Please keep observing your system and if you see a repeat of the problem let us know.

November 2, 2015 at 11:06 pm #71794PeterMemberYou have sandbox enabled – can you please use your real paypal account?
Also I noticed that when using the sandbox I wasn’t automatically redirected back from paypal to your site after the payment. This means that you haven’t configured your paypal account properly.
1) “Auto Return” (this should be enabled)
2) “Payment Data Transfer (optional)”
3) Find the “Instant Payment Notification (IPN)” setting and please enable this feature if it’s not enabled.
November 6, 2015 at 9:38 am #71795hygge2workMemberMany thanks for your reply. However, please can you let me know what you mean with Sandbox enabled? Sorry I am not that experienced with Paypal. The other settings should now have been configured according to the account holder. Thanks a lot.
November 6, 2015 at 10:50 pm #71796PeterMemberHi,
I meant that you are using the paypal test system.
In other words in your photo seller settings, you have set the “PayPal Test Mode On” setting to “yes”.
To use the real paypal account you will need to set the above to “no” and then make sure that you have set the proper paypal email in the “Payment Gateway” settings.
November 7, 2015 at 1:35 pm #71797hygge2workMemberThanks a lot – it is working now!!
