WP Photo Seller: Email doesn't get sent out for Pending Orders

WordPress 3.8, WP Photo Seller 1.5.8

I wanted to automatically send out the link to the Free image after filling out the order form and submitting. When that happens the order is at the “Pending” stage right? I saw that you can send a message when an order is at the Pending stage. I checked the box to activate the “Send email when an order is pending” function and filled in the email body with the email tags necessary. But this email never gets sent when an order is pending. (or at any time)

Another related issue: To trigger the sending of the download link I used the Bulk Actions feature in the Photo Orders List to set the Pending order to Payment Complete and Shipping Complete. No emails were sent. I had to view the order and click the update button under the Delivery Status and Payment Status dropdowns (they were set to Complete from the previous Bulk Actions). Finally the emails with the download links were sent.

So, Pending orders don’t trigger the Pending orders email. The Bulk Actions feature sets the properties but doesn’t trigger the email with the download links.

We fixed two bugs relating to:

– automatic emails for pending orders

– automatic emails for shipping/payment status change when using the bulk operations functionality on the order list page

We have released an updated version of the plugin.
