Hi, I need to allow customers to download a whole course that will include a set of videos – for a one off payment – currently on you tube (privately in my clients account)
i have looked through the posts here but so far i haven’t come across the answer. Really hope you can help – many thanks.
October 9, 2012 at 12:11 pm #50198PeterMemberHi,
You can setup your product such that you have page consisting of all of the downloadable content and you can protect your downloadable links and other content using special Authenticated Page Redirect (APR) shortcodes.
The following documentation should help you:

October 9, 2012 at 1:07 pm #50200websforyouMemberThank you both for your information – really appreciated. with the APR short code option – does that mean the customer can only view the downloads once? and is that even a problem? ideally i want to put all the downloadable content into one file and the customer can hit ‘download’ … please excuse my ignorance on this… I’m a beginner!
October 9, 2012 at 7:34 pm #50201wzpModeratorI’d strongly recommend **not*** combining everything into one file. You don’t know the speed of the customer’s Internet connection, or if they have the patience to wait for a single download.
If you want to allow customers the privilege of re-downloading their purchases at a future date; you can setup a self service page that allows this, similar to the Tips & Tricks automatic update request system.

February 20, 2013 at 8:15 pm #50202tahoemntsMemberOn a similar note. How would you recommend using the plugin for a website where the users would have to pay to view videos? Not necessarily be able to download them, but to simply view them. How would your recommend setting this up so my vids are secure from others viewing? Thanks.
February 21, 2013 at 12:26 am #50203wpCommerceModeratorHi, you can do that using the pay per view feature of eStore:
WP eStore’s Pay Per View – Using WordPress Permalinks as Digital Products (APR)
You can use any WordPress video player to embed your videos on a WordPress page then protect that page using eStore so customers can view that page after they make a payment and click on the encrypted link.
