WP eSTORE buy now button not working with eMEMBER

I believe that I am using the most recent version of emember and estore as I updated them less then a month ago. I am building a membership website using wordpress and buddypress and everything works well except when I create the buy now button for the paid memberships I get this error –

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Emember_Auth::getInstance() in /home/aaronk/public_html/brailleskaters.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/wp_eStore1.php on line 790

I read some other posts that talked about fatal errors and the plug ins being in conflict with other plug ins so I have tried deactivating several plug ins to no resolve. I am now uncertain how to fix this and could not find anything in the forum about it. Im also not sure if the problem is with estore or emember. I am a not a programmer and just flying by the seat of my pants so for all I know its something really dumb.
