I have a couple of questions/issues.
We are using WP Affiliate to track clicks to an online program not a purchase.
I set up all the affiliates through the admin panel and assigned them IDs and passwords. I can’t login as one of the affiliates to check the links. I set up myself through the sign up page and can login just fine. I have tried to reset the password for the affiliate and it is still telling me I can’t login as the affiliate: the message is “Invalid Login. Please try again with correct user name and password” and I am using the information from the password reset email. I have also tried changing the password for the affiliate in the admin panel and that is not working either.
I’m using WP 3.4 with Optimize Press with very few plugins.
As far as tracking the Clicks…. Is there any way to download the Click history into a spreadsheet? I have tried to copy and paste into Excel or word and it all goes into one cell.
I can sort by ascending in the cell to get all the affiliate info but when I look at the links that are showing as clicks I also get weird links like this for an affiliate:
http://by170w.bay170.mail.live.com/default.aspx?rru=inbox
Is this an actual click or is it just a pass through link from an email program? Should this click be counted as an actual click?
Most of them look like this:

The website is:http://www.yoursoulguidance.com/unleash-the-unstoppable-power-of-you/
Thank you for your assistance!

Regarding the clicks… it can come from a variety of sources. Not all of your clicks will come from another website. Many affiliates prefer to send emails to their clients with affiliate links in the email. So when those clients click on the link you won’t have an website address as the referral URL (it will be a weird looking one). Also, not all browsers will pass the referral URL all the time. The plugin will correctly capture the referral URL if the browser has the information present. That doesn’t mean the click didn’t happen. The plugin will only record a click when a visitor landed on your site following an affiliate link regardless of what the referral URL say.

I uploaded the new version and I still can’t log in with this affiliate ID – power-dd-210. One of the things I noticed.. I added someone through the affilate set up page (not the Add/Edit screen) and it would not allow me to add an ID with a hyphen – ID is power-dd-210, it would only let me create an id with a underscore.
The IDs I added in the Add/Edit section of the plugin allowed me to add IDs with hypens – so all IDs have hypens. What do I do?.. We have already started the campaign and I can’t send out new IDs?
Thanks! Pam
July 9, 2012 at 12:22 am #46990adminKeymasterHi Pam, The issue is the following:
There are invalid characters in the affiliate ID. When you go to the add/edit affiliates menu and try to add an affiliate you will that it says the following in the help text section of the “Affiliate ID” field:
permitted characters are letters, numbers and underscore
The affiliate ID goes in the URL and not all characters are valid for a URL so we had to have that restriction. You will need to delete this affiliate ID and create new ones with valid characters unfortunately.
