I have my Affiliate area embedded into a page on my website.
When an affiliate logs in, they are directed to the wrong page. Instead of going to http://www.mydomain.com/affiliates/?wp_affiliate_view=members_only they go to http://www.mydomain.com/teaser/front-page-big-call-to-actions/?wp_affiliate_view=members_only.
Why aren’t they staying on the affiliates page? Where should I look to fix this?
Thanks in advance for the help!
April 14, 2012 at 4:51 am #44068adminKeymasterYou most likely have an automatic redirection setup somewhere on your site (maybe via another plugin or from some other customization). Provide exact link to your affiliate page (not an example link that uses “mydomain”) and a test user details so I can check it.
Also, this test can help you identify the source if the redirection is coming from somewhere else.

Thanks for your help!
April 15, 2012 at 11:29 pm #44070adminKeymasterWhen I go to the link you shared I get redirected to the following page??

That is very weird to go to a WordPress page and be redirected to a “This is for members only” page. Please make sure those redirection issue are taken care of first. If you are using a membership plugin then don’t protect the affiliate page.
April 16, 2012 at 3:48 pm #44071kathyMemberOkay, it’s not protected anymore. It sits on a protected page normally because only people we invite can affiliate.
I turned off the mailchimp widget the article you posted above said may conflict and don’t have any of the other plugins. The affiliate section has worked for a while with the current theme and only recently became problematic.
Thanks! Kathy
April 17, 2012 at 12:30 am #44072adminKeymasterokay now, the signup and login pages are rendering properly. I can’t create an affiliate account and test the after login scenario as you have it set to *invite only* mode. Please create a test account and share the details so I can see how it behaves after I log in.
Check this post regarding *only recently became problematic*:

April 17, 2012 at 5:16 pm #44074kathyMemberI just reinstalled my WP Affiliate plugin, but it didn’t fix the problem.
April 18, 2012 at 12:22 am #44075adminKeymasterRe-installing is not going to fix this issue because the issue is coming from another plugin incorrectly redirecting to the following page after a login even happens.
Do this test mentioned earlier and identify the plugin that is doing this incorrect redirection:

Alternatively, use Option 1 of the “affiliate area” display on this site (this option is a standalone option so no other plugin will be able to mess up the redirection)
