Hi,
I set an affiliate payment with PayPal hosted button, method PDT. I ordered the product, the payment process ran as it should, the customer landed on the thank you page, but nothing’s showing in the affiliate account. I added to the PayPal button code only the id of the affiliate. Is there anything else I should include there? One more thing: the wp affiliate installation is placed on a subdomain.
Thanks.

June 26, 2019 at 11:41 am #79640aropaMemberIt worked after I deactivated the smtp plugin.
June 27, 2019 at 4:17 am #79641adminKeymasterJust to confirm, are you using the method 1 or method 2? How are you generating the PayPal buy now button?
August 24, 2019 at 7:47 am #79642aropaMemberHi,
The plugin is not working. No commissions assigned to the affiliates.
It worked just fine a month ago but now it stopped working. I didn’t make any change to the initial settings. I am not sure what is about.
Method used: 1.
PayPal button is hosted.
Please advise.
Thanks.

August 26, 2019 at 12:15 am #79644adminKeymasterWhich page on your site has the PayPal button? I need to inspect the paypal button.
Also, did you click on an affiliate link before to to the page containing the paypal button (before making the payment)?
August 26, 2019 at 2:43 am #79645aropaMemberA test button may be found at freudfile.org/test.html
I didn’t understand the second question.
August 26, 2019 at 9:56 pm #79646wzpModerator@admin — Also, did you click on an affiliate link before to to the page containing the paypal button (before making the payment)?
@aropa — I didn’t understand the second question.
The page that contains the PayPal button… Did you arrive there, via a link that contains an “?ap_id=” URL query string? If you did not, the Affiliate Platform won’t know which affiliate to credit the sale to.
August 27, 2019 at 2:27 am #79647aropaMemberYou mean if some customer visit the page with the paypal button and simply click on it the ap_id will not be sent? But the button code includes the ap_id itself (see above). It should be returned to the script via paypal PDT.The procedure is described in method 1 at https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/plain-paypal-button-and-affiliate-plugin-integration-168.
Moreover it worked as such without having to arrive via an affiliate link prior of clicking the paypal button.
August 27, 2019 at 2:55 am #79648aropaMemberI did access the page with the paypal button code from an affiliate link and still didn’t work. The commission is not shown.
August 28, 2019 at 1:22 am #79649adminKeymasterThe test page you referenced is NOT a wordpress page. That is just a standard HTML page that you put in the folder. A WordPress plugin ONLY works within the WordPress environment. Please fully read the following page so you understand more about the WordPress platform in general:
You need to create a WordPress post or page then put the PayPal button in there.
August 30, 2019 at 4:53 am #79650aropaMemberI already did but I wonder if there’s any method to allow affiliates to place PayPal buttons not just links to my products. I mean, a method enabling affiliates to sell my products directly from their sites, blogs, facebook and so forth.
September 1, 2019 at 3:24 am #79651adminKeymasterNo, they have to refer visitors to your site. That is how any affiliate system works. Think of Amazon for example. All the affiliates refer traffic to amazon then the sale actually happens on amazon’s site.
