Hi,
[1]
I have a one-page site with 3 products. each product has an “add to cart” button and “download free sample now” button.
I want to be able to follow the customers progress using Google-Analytics.
As far as I know I can only do that by adding a Google’s code to a page I want to follow.
Is there a way to follow direct clicks with this kind of code? So I’ll be able to see who clicked on “add to cart” and “download sample”? and won’t have to direct customers to a specific “add-to-cart” page and “download free” page?
[2]
Is it possible to view history of purchases if i’m using paypal as payment method? (not an on-site payment form)?
[3]
Is it possible to view the ‘Free Download’ sample that I give to customers in purchase history?
In the demo list you published in the manual there are only paid products.
Thanks,
Oren
March 7, 2012 at 3:26 am #42772adminKeymaster1) This sort of things are done using a method called “google analytics goal tracking”. Google it and start learning (this involves adding scripts to your site so JavaScript knowledge is good to have). You will need to use the Google Analytics forum for support on Goal tracking issues that you may face.
2) This document will explain the purchase history display option available with eMember:

3) If you option 1 from the following post then it will show up in the history:

4) Purchase history just for eStore:

Yes i’m aware of the process but as far as I know I need to add a code to the but I don’t have this because it’s a built-in eStore button…
I’m sorry, maybe my english is not well enough, hopefully you understand what I mean..
This is the tutorial i’m refering to:

March 8, 2012 at 3:25 am #42774adminKeymasterThis is beyond the scope of our plugin troubleshooting support forum. These things require good understand of JavaScript and HTML (without those you won’t be able to do it yourself).
With that said, this article should help you with what you are trying to do (There is an example for WP eStore buttons at the end of the article.. the same concept applies to any button):

August 1, 2013 at 3:43 pm #42775fahdiMemberHi,
The solution for displaying number 2, is as if it’s integrated with eStore. What if I want to display payment history for membership? Such as This user is made payment for Gold membership on 1 Aug 2008 through paypal? is there any function for this?
Thanks
August 2, 2013 at 5:42 am #42776adminKeymasterUsually a member is paying you for one membership plan, so a payment history is not used for membership plan purchase. This becomes more useful when you have a store selling other items. So we don’t have a shortcode for just showing the membership plan purchase for eMember. However, I think it will be good to have a shortcode for this. I will look into adding a shortcode in the eMember plugin to handle this.
August 2, 2013 at 6:38 am #42777fahdiMemberHi Admin,
Thanks,
Since, my web is not a webcommerce/store, rather than a membership web, I think I’m gonna need this feature.
I think, the payment history is not even recorded in database, I may need to tweak the code by myself. Any idea when can you give the shortcode update?
Rgrds,
fahdi
