Hello,
I’ve uninstalled/deleted my old version of WP Affiliate Platform and only made a backup of my “Affiliates” file (completely forgot about the main files). My “Affiliates” folder is on my Root domain http://www.ettiennevanstaden.com/affiliates
I’ve installed the update just now and get this error when trying to access the page:
Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error.
Also, when I try to log in from my homepage
http://www.ettiennevanstaden.com/affiliates/login.php
It gives me
Warning: include_once(../../../../wp-load.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/web07/b2600/moo.vstadene/affiliates/misc_func.php on line 2
Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘../../../../wp-load.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.2.17/lib/php’) in /hermes/web07/b2600/moo.vstadene/affiliates/misc_func.php on line 2
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /hermes/web07/b2600/moo.vstadene/affiliates/misc_func.php on line 47
I have many affiliates and need to get this resolved please. Is there NO way you guys can integrate an Auto Update feature into the plugin? This is ridiculous! I don’t have time scanning through 1000 links on your page trying to find the answer. When I installed this it took me ages the first time. Now I had some new banners made and found that I had to update because there were some major errors, back to step 1.
Please assist ASAP.
My email is vstadene@gmail.com
Kind regards
Ettienne
February 28, 2012 at 6:29 pm #42474vstadeneMemberOkay let me clear things up a bit…
I still have the old “Affiliates” folder on the root domain. I installed the new version and simply deleted its “affiliates” file. So the old one has the edited “misc_func.php” file with the “include_once(../wp-load.php”
Is it because I didn’t delete the old files manually (since deleting them on WP alone leaves the folder in wp_content/uploads/plugins)?
I just don’t want to lose all my affiliates. Is there an easy solution to all this?
February 28, 2012 at 6:36 pm #42475vstadeneMemberAnother edit. Now it’s back to what it did before I installed the update.
When trying to register or log in, when clicking any link or text field it jumps to:
Why is this? It never did that before
Sorry I’m being a pain in the you know what but patience has never been my strongest quality. I’ll just wait for your reply.
February 28, 2012 at 10:45 pm #42476PeterMemberHi,
Updating your Affiliate platform plugin (or any other Tips and Tricks plugin) will not erase your existing data – ie, your database content such as the affiliates etc will still be available after you upgrade.
Therefore I’m not sure why you have gone through the whole thing of making a “backup of my “Affiliates” file”.
Whenever you want to upgrade to the latest plugin version you should follow these instructions:

February 29, 2012 at 4:03 pm #42477vstadeneMemberThanks for your response, it seems I’ve fixed it, but now there’s just one more problem.
I get this message everywhere:
Warning: include_once(affiliates/lang/eng.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/wp_affiliate_platform1.php on line 28
Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘affiliates/lang/eng.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.2.17/lib/php’) in /wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/wp_affiliate_platform1.php on line 28
Could you please tell me how to fix this?
Kind regards
Ettienne
February 29, 2012 at 4:12 pm #42478vstadeneMemberAlso getting the following: (This disappears each time I refresh the pages, but I need to refresh it each time)
Duplicate headers received from server
The response from the server contained duplicate headers. This problem is generally the result of a misconfigured website or proxy. Only the website or proxy administrator can fix this issue.
Error 346 (net::ERR_RESPONSE_HEADERS_MULTIPLE_CONTENT_LENGTH): Multiple distinct Content-Length headers received. This is disallowed to protect against HTTP response splitting attacks.
