Photo Seller – Trying to change photo sorting order

I am trying to change the sorting order of the photos but I can’t get any of the sorting options to work.

I have the main galleries set up and want the newly posted photos to show at the top, but they will only show at the bottom. I have tried each of the different sorting options change it, and have also cleared cache/history to see if that would show the changes, but it still isn’t working.

Can you provide the link to the gallery page you are referring to so I can view the photos?

Also can you tell me which photo I should expect at the top?

I added a new photo, train tressel, that is showing up at the bottom of the page and I want it at the top. How do I make that happen?

Ok, the plugin is updated but the sorting order still isn’t changing. What now?

Just to confirm, there are two sorting configuration areas –

1) one is in the main gallery settings page which sorts the list of galleries.

2) The other setting is inside the individual gallery settings page which will sort the individual photos inside a particular gallery.

Are you setting the sort order from the second one above?

What happens when you choose “By ID Descending”?

I am trying to sort inside the individual gallery.

I have tried all of the different sorting options – ID, Date, Name – and none of them make any changes. I even tried selecting a sort option, saving things, logging out, clearing cache/history and then logging back in. No change.

I have tried with each of the galleries and it doesn’t seem to be working for any of them. They only show in the order that they were uploaded. Did I miss a setting somewhere else that could be controlling these?

I am having the same trouble trying to sort thumbnails in my galleries. Its really important for this client that they appear in the correct order. However, using the ID, Date, Name Asc or Dec options in the Gallery settings has no effect on the outcome.

I’m using vers. 2.1.7

Can you advise what I should do?

Can you please choose the “Name Ascending” sort order setting for one of your galleries and then provide the link so I can take a quick look?

I am having the same problem. I am trying to sort my photos by name and it does not respond to changes I make when choosing the sort order on the gallery configure page. The page I am speaking of I have set to Name Ascending but the results in the gallery are not organized as such [http://www.nexiadesign.com/photogallery/gallery1/]. I have Version 2.1.5
