I just purchased and installed the eStore plugin to my WordPress hosted website. It said the install was successful, but when I tried to activate it, it said that it had no header or something. Then I tried to find it in the plugins list, since it said it had been installed, but it doesn’t not appear anywhere. And when I try to re-install it, I get another error message saying taht a director already exists.
I just paid $50 for this – please help me get it up and running.
Thank you,
Dana
June 8, 2011 at 8:18 pm #33151wzpModeratorOne or files may have been corrupted. Could you please try deleting the eStore plugin directory, and then download and install a fresh copy of the plugin from this URL…

June 8, 2011 at 9:34 pm #33152DanaLeavyMemberHow do I delete the directory? Is that the zip file? Because the plugin is not listed anywhere on my WordPress dashboard, so I can’t delete it like I would the other plugins.
June 8, 2011 at 9:57 pm #33153DanaLeavyMemberIt’s saying that the directory home/danaleavy/aspyresolutions.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/ already exists, but I can’t find it anywhere within WordPress to delete it. What do you suggest?
June 8, 2011 at 11:12 pm #33154wzpModeratorWhat is the “it” that is telling you the directory already exists? You may need to contact your hosting provider to figure out why you can’t see the directory, if the directory already exists, but you can’t delete it.
In the meantime, you can still try downloading a fresh copy of the plugin.
June 9, 2011 at 12:18 am #33155DanaLeavyMemberI did download the fresh copy, and tried uploading that – no luck. The “it” is WordPress itself. When I go to the dashboard and click on plugins, it’s not listed in any of the lists (inactive, active, etc.). But when I try to re-upload, WordPress tells me a directory already exists. Is there a way to delete the plugin directory other than the plugin screen itself?
June 9, 2011 at 12:20 am #33156DanaLeavyMemberHere is the exact text when I try to upload:
Unpacking the packageā¦
Installing the pluginā¦
Destination folder already exists. /home/danaleavy/aspyresolutions.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/
Plugin install failed.
June 9, 2011 at 12:30 am #33157DanaLeavyMemberActually this is EXACTLY what happened. Perhaps you can tell me how to proceed from here.. http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/15211/plugins-not-showing-in-dashboard-plugins-section
June 9, 2011 at 1:47 am #33158wzpModeratorPlease read & follow these installation instructions…

Note that these instructions do not involve using WP to upload the file, but a manual upload instead.
June 9, 2011 at 3:34 am #33159amin007ParticipantThe first video tutorial on this page shows you two ways to install the plugin (follow the FTP method).
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-quick-setup-and-usage-video-tutorial-593
When you log into your site using a FTP software you will be able to browse to the “plugins” directory and delete the folders that you don’t want.
June 9, 2011 at 4:02 am #33160georgecMemberI was trying to update my version of the plugin, deleted the old folder and FTPed the new one, but got one of those WP error messages that are lines of text on a white page. I had to uninstall the plugin to get back to my admin so I can’t add the error here, but I emailed you guys via the contact form earlier today.
I believe it said the file “eStore_classes/_loader.php” was missing or not found. Something along those lines.
June 9, 2011 at 4:10 am #33161georgecMemberOK here is the error message:
Warning: require_once(eStore_classes/_loader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xyz/public_html/xyz.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/wp_digi_cart_admin_menu.php on line 2
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'eStore_classes/_loader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/xyz/public_html/xyz.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/wp_digi_cart_admin_menu.php on line 2June 9, 2011 at 4:14 am #33162georgecMemberI figured it out – my FTP program wasn’t uploading files that started with an underscore. Working OK now.
June 9, 2011 at 3:01 pm #33163DanaLeavyMemberThanks – I’ll try the manual upload via FTP.
June 9, 2012 at 9:56 am #33164pogiiiMemberhi guys, screwed up on the installation of WP-estore. Was upgrading to the newer version, but didn’t deactivate the plugin in WP before I pasted over it in FTP. When I realized this, it was too late. Inside WP, it shows something about database not in sync.
I couldn’t deactivate the plugin anymore, as everytime I did, it simply redirected to the homepage. I deleted the plugin from FTP and reinstalled, but to no avail. Now, I can’t activate the plugin anymore in WP. All it does is redirect to the homepage.
Any help would be great guys. Thanks!
