Hi,
I’m running an old version of WP estore (because of some custom features) since 2010 but never got a problem like this before:
After purchasing, the customer and the seller do not receive any message but the transaction run smoothly and a download link is generated.
Some other info:
– I got this issue since updating WordPress to 3.3.1, but also reverting back to 3.3 and 3.2.1 (I had backups of both files and db) that worked before stopped working now, so I’m not sure anymore it has something to do with the update;
– the log files generated during Debug mode show SUCCESSFUL in everything;
– the download link is generated successfully and actually does work;
– I have no track of the purchase in Stats screen;
– the Thank You page is not showing any download link;
– I have not made any changes to my PayPal account and don’t know if they introduced new things recently;
– I tried both WordPress Mailing System and PHP mail script (this always worked before), no results;
This one is killing me… Do you have any suggestion? Did anyone have had the same problem recently?

Can you please leave debug enabled and clear the log files by clicking the “Reset Debug Log Files” button in the eStore settings page and then try another test purchase or two and share the output of the debug log files please?

January 24, 2012 at 8:49 am #41114adminKeymasterLooks like the plugin is not even sending the email which means you probably unchecked the “Send Emails to Buyer After Purchase” option from eStore settings.
January 24, 2012 at 10:02 am #41115anotherbreedMemberNevertheless the option is set to send the e-mail… I also tried to send an e-mail from the Admin Functions of eStore to me, and it was successfully delivered (so the script works).
Another detail: Amin did a customisation to the plug-in for me in 2010, he added a ‘Receipt Counter’ and this value was increasing of 1 for each purchase made. Even this value seems to have stopped working now (I checked the database). So, the payment is processed but the transaction is not tracked…
Fews days ago everything was running fine. At this point I begin to think that something should be happened to my host (Hostgator), to PayPal or to the WordPress update.
