Hello, I have 2 products all of them working with subscription. at join us page customer chooses the type of subscription printed magazine 80euro or digital magazine 40euro.
When they choose for example digital version they are transfered at the registration page and there I want a radio button group to choose either 1 year 40eyro 2 years 70euros 3 years 120 euro.
Is it possible to add this radio button group in the registration form ?
thnx in advance
January 3, 2013 at 12:09 am #52757adminKeymasterYou may have a slight misunderstanding of how the registration is handle for paid membership. The payment button for any kind of membership payment is always separate from the registration form. The user makes the payment first and then they get to signup for the membership level that they paid for.
Please read this documentation that should explain all these for you:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/a-typical-member-registration-flow-96
So what you should do is, create the following 3 membership levels in eMember:
i) 1 Year Membership
ii) 2 Years Membership
iii) 3 years Membership
Now, you can create separate payment buttons for each of these membership levels and place them on your “Join Us” page. The user will be able to signup to the membership level that they pay for.
Let me know if that helps.

so you suggest the following.
first page “join us” :they choose printed or digiatal version.
second join us page : they choose 1 2 or 3 years.
third page: registration.
So I have three steps while I want to have two steps till payment.
Isnt there any way that the “locked” membership field in registration page turns into a dropdown box? so step 1 customer chooses printed or digital subscription, step two they choose among 1 ,2 ,3 years and fill out registration form. old registration page looks like this:
step1: [http://www.morax.gr/signup]
srep2: push the button in step1
thnx in advance
January 4, 2013 at 11:49 pm #52759adminKeymasterNo, you don’t need to have 2 join-us pages.
You simply have one join us page and outline all the options right there. Here is an example skeleton of how your join us page could look like:
Buy Printed Copy
[Buy button for the printed copy]
Buy digital copy
[Buy button for level 1]
[Buy button for level 2]
[Buy button for level 3]
Your customer would come to the above page and push the button that they want and make the payment. The membership registration happens after the payment.
We follow this model in eMember because it is better for conversion. There is no way to do eMember’s registration where a member chooses the level from drop down. That model forces the user to have to fill out a big form before the payment which is a conversion killer. I am not saying it doesn’t have its usage but our customers like the way eMember’s registration works.
