Using both eMember and eStore I have set up a simple Subscribe button [wp_eStore_subscribe_fancy id=1] on the Join Us page as described in the videos to subscribe to my premium membership content page and I also set up the recurring payments for just 1 penny so that I can test how it works.
When I click on the subscribe button on the Join Us page it takes me to the “PayPal log in to complete your checkout” page for me to enter my email and password. But when I click Log In it takes me to a “PayPal Error – Return to Merchant” page where it states; The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again with an orange button underneath that says Return to Merchant. Even when I click that button it just shows a blank page and doesn’t return me to my site. I have had a paypal account for years and use it practically everyday
Can you please help??? I know this is going to be simple but I’m going round in circles here as I’ve watched so many of your videos and some of the stuff relates to much older plugins, I’m now lost.

August 6, 2012 at 4:02 pm #47185bambizMemberI’m getting this same issue. textfromjesus.com/thank-you
August 6, 2012 at 11:02 pm #47186PeterMemberI just tried your subscribe button and logged into PayPal as if I were just about to pay and I saw no issues.
June 2, 2014 at 12:36 am #47187mikcredentMemberI have the same issue using the same shortcode as Lifeshort. The button is shown as <input type=”submit” class=”eStore_subscribe_button” value=”Subscribe”> and the error message I receive from paypal is The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details. and the return too merchant button takes me nowhere
The only thing I can guess at is when I used just emember I had set up some saved buttons that were set to use the Secure Merchant ID not the email . I haven’t deleted them as yet and cannot see anywhere else to select encrypted ?
webaddress is [http://emergentfocus.com/join-us/store/]
June 2, 2014 at 12:41 am #47188mikcredentMemberalso another question ref the fancy short codes. IS it part of your development to make then suitable for use with mobiles. They look pretty ugly ( least the subscribe one does) when viewed on a smartphone. thanks
