Ah! I was wondering why I didn’t make many sales this week.
Here is my site. [http://www.myfamilyexercise.com]
The estore isn’t working for me. When you click on the buy now button it shoots you to the top of the page and doesn’t display the cart.
If you add anything to the cart you can’t adjust quantity, add or delete any products.
When you try to checkout you get this message.
“Either your shopping cart is empty or the PHP Session on your server is not working correctly. Please check this article”
Not sure what to do. Please help!
Thank you,
Jeff
December 4, 2010 at 8:07 pm #27050wzpModeratorDid you change any plugins or themes recently?
December 4, 2010 at 9:34 pm #27051Mariador62MemberI also have suddenly been having problems with my e-store. The only thing that changed was my upgrading to 2.9.2 over the summer (but it was working then). I just today got the latest update of the e-store plugin (4.7.2). However, in the last days, when I test and click on the add to cart button, I get an error message stating that I have to make sure that my javascript and cookies have been enabled on my browser (which they are). So as a result, the e-store is not at all functioning. Neither the earlier version nor the latest. What should I do? I need for this to work! Thanks!
December 4, 2010 at 9:35 pm #27052Mariador62MemberI did also upgrade to Thesis 1.8 recently. I tried to go back to 1.7 to see if it made any difference, and it did not. e-store still doesn’t work. Thanks!
December 4, 2010 at 11:43 pm #27053amin007Participant@jwise, Are you using a caching plugin?
@Mariador62, Please post a link to the page where I can go and interact with the button. eStore do not show the following error message. It comes from WordPress if I remember correctly:
“I have to make sure that my javascript and cookies have been enabled on my browser”
December 5, 2010 at 7:30 pm #27054Mariador62Member@amin: thanks for getting back to me! yes, i think it could be a wordpress thing, because it is happening with my emember, my affiliate program, and e-shop. i have tried to eliminate working with the e-shop button temporarily and directly with paypal, but i like the way YOU’ve set it up! I want this to work!
Here is one link to one of my products:

December 5, 2010 at 9:04 pm #27055jwiseMemberDecember 5, 2010 at 11:53 pm #27056amin007Participant@jwise, “I’m using WP Super Cache” – That would explain the behavior you are seeing on your site. This post has explanations and workarounds:

If you recently started using the caching plugin I would recommend using the W3 Total Cache:

December 5, 2010 at 11:57 pm #27057amin007Participant@Mariador62, You seem to be using the W3 Total Cache plugin which is good. Have you completed these steps too?

December 6, 2010 at 12:54 am #27058jwiseMember@amin007: You are awesome! Thank you! I installed W3 Total Cache and the store immediately started working properly again.
December 6, 2010 at 1:41 am #27059David KakonMemberhelp!!! The store is not adding all products to cart if you search for them:
this one wont add, try it:
http://8byten.com/search/yellow
NB i recemtly upgraded my wordpress to 3.02
December 6, 2010 at 1:51 am #27060David KakonMemberweird! i changed the search parameter to use this format:
now it works, it seam that if you use
[http://8byten.com/search/TERM]
you have a different cart memory, and though it adds your total in the side widget it doesnt add it in the shopping cart.
try this:
different shopping carts
December 6, 2010 at 4:08 am #27061amin007ParticipantYour site setup is incorrect. This post will explain what you are doing wrong:
December 6, 2010 at 10:42 am #27062Mariador62Member@Amin Yes. But I didn’t know to add the e-Member info that I noticed here. I figured out how to use the shop now, however this plugin update is a bit different from before and it seems you have to place the short code on the same page as the product? The other thing is that my Theme My Login was a culprit in it’s not working. I had issues previously with other plugins, and gave it a whirl. Now e-Store works. The other thing is that the shopping cart image is a bit fluid, so if you touch it the shopping cart image and the circle with a line through it keep on stretching. Is there any way of stopping that from happening? I have already put in the info for the button size (which changed nothing by the way). Thanks for help!
December 7, 2010 at 12:43 am #27063amin007ParticipantTo me it sounds like you have CSS issues on your theme. That is a different issue than the one we are talking about on this thread. Please open a new thread for this and post a link to your page so I can investigate that.
